RE: Are bard mobile download books saved in an iPhone back up?
Kelly, As Arnold posted, BARD Mobile is currently unable to transfer content from an older to a newer iDevice regardless of the backup type or transfer method used. BARD's conversion to the cloud will enable this at some point in the future but when that will be is not yet known. It is a good idea when planning to get a new iDevice to make note of the BARD Mobile books on your old device as well as your reading position in those books before moving to the new device. Re: Are bard mobile download books saved in an iPhone back up?
I think this may be a question that’s a little off the subject, but since we are talking about books it used to be that when you started reading books on an iPhone if you went to an iPad and opened the books app it would go to the place that you were reading on your iPhone. This seems to be no longer the case. It’s sinking again I think. What settings on each device do I need to turn on or off to make it go back to doing what it used to do? Remember, I am a medium user so I need direct instructions. Thank you so much. This was something that was really nice to be able to hand off books to another device if one device needed to be charged or something. Of course, I know you can use the I Devices on a cord, but sometimes you just want to read it from somewhere else. Thanks again for any help anyone can give me. RE: Are bard mobile download books saved in an iPhone back up?
Once I read a book on BARD, I delete it, so I don't have many on my phone at a given time, but when I had to reset my phone and lost all the BARD downloads, I used the Recent Downloads option in the Find Books tab to more easily find and redownload the books I wanted to put on my phone. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Mary Otten Sent: Friday, July 16, 2021 5:20 PM To: via VIPhone Subject: Are bard mobile download books saved in an iPhone back up? If you back up your iPhone to iCloud and then get a new iPhone and restore from iCloud, will all of your saved barred mobile books transfer over? I’m actually asking for a friend who is having serious problems with his phone and not being able to see any of his bard books. He was thinking about getting a new phone. In the BARD app bookshelf, you have the option of organizing by Title, Author, and latest. That is all. Re: Are bard mobile download books saved in an iPhone back up?
OK. My friends problem is that he has a large library which he has organized into folders and subfolders etc., because he uses books for various things. So he is not going to be happy, but thank you. Re: Are bard mobile download books saved in an iPhone back up?
No. I have ended up in bard jail for redownloading things onto a new iPhone. I dearly wish bard would correct the backup issue. To get out of bard jail just email nls downloads and beg for Mercury or go slow on downloading Sent from my iPhone > On Jul 16, 2021, at 19:19, Mary Otten wrote: > > If you back up your iPhone to iCloud and then get a new iPhone and restore > from iCloud, will all of your saved barred mobile books transfer over? Afraid not yet. Let’s hope that someday soon BARD will come up with ICloud-backup for books. I do not believe they are. But, I've not kept enough books on my device to worry about that. And now, that they have their collection in the cloud, books download amazingly quickly.
