I assume you mean you want to use a different email to be your Apple Id? If so
then this is easily done:

1. Go to
https://AppleId.apple.com

2. Login with your current Apple Id email and password and, if you have
two-factor authentication enabled, allow the sign-in on your device and enter
the
security code

3. Use heading quick nav keys, letter H, to go to the beginning of the
information, then use button quick nav key, letter B, to find the first Edit
button
and activate it with the spacebar.

4. Now find the “Change my Apple Id” button, again you can use, letter B, the
button quick nav key, activate it and enter your new email

5. Look for the “Done” button

There is a way if you want to do it on your iOS device. Go to settings, then
tap on your name. it should take you to your iCloud settings. Scroll down
to name, phone number, emails. Double tap. Flick until you hear the edit
button, then select it. You want to scroll past all of your emails and phone
numbers.
There should be an add button. It will bring up an alert asking if you want to
add an email address or a phone number, hit email. Type in the email address
you want to add, and hit next. Once that’s done, you might have to hit the edit
button again. After that, find your old Apple ID email, swipe down until
you hear delete. Once you double tap, it will bring a popup that asks you to
type in a new email address that you’ve just added. Type in the verification
code that you were sent.

Good day, list.
I haven’t posted in a while but I need a reminder about how to change my Apple
ID, as I haven’t had to mess with it in quite a while.
Do I need to sign out first before making the change? What I’m needing to do is

Please respond quickly so I can leave this list from the address I have been

RE: Changing Apple Id

Do I type in the new e-mail even if it is already in my list of e-mails?

There is a way if you want to do it on your iOS device. Go to settings, then
tap on your name. it should take you to your iCloud settings. Scroll down to
name, phone number, emails. Double tap. Flick until you hear the edit button,
then select it. You want to scroll past all of your emails and phone numbers.
There should be an add button. It will bring up an alert asking if you want to
add an email address or a phone number, hit email. Type in the email address
you want to add, and hit next. Once that’s done, you might have to hit the edit
button again. After that, find your old Apple ID email, swipe down until you
hear delete. Once you double tap, it will bring a popup that asks you to type
in a new email address that you’ve just added. Type in the verification code
that you were sent.

Hello all,

I want to change my Apple ID. However, I have heard that you have to be very

Can someone please send me the information on how to do this? Thank you.

By changing to the new email address, am I then making that new email be the

I hope what I am saying is clear.

Hi list.

Does anyone know if a person can change the user Name on my Apple ID. I don't
want to change my password just my Apple ID name. I am a new IOS user and
when I first chose my Apple ID name I did not realize I would be using it a
lot. So I want to change it to make it a lot easier for me to enter it. I
want to keep my password the same. Is this possible to do?

Re: Changing Apple ID

2013-10-26 Thread Grant Hardy
If you go to appleid.apple.com you can update your Apple ID. In the past, your
Apple ID could be a simple username like xyz. Now, however, it has to be an
Email address like x...@gmail.com. You can update your Apple ID by specifying a
new primary Email address, but if you still use the old system with a username,
I don't believe you can pick a new username. You'd have to use an Email address
instead if ever you wanted to change your Apple ID.

Re: Changing Apple ID and Apple 800 Tech Support Number

2012-04-19 Thread Ricardo Walker
Hi,

did you go to settings/store on your iPhone? In here you tap on the apple ID
button and it gives you the option to sign out. Then you can sign in with the
new ID.

Re: Changing Apple ID and Apple 800 Tech Support Number

2012-04-18 Thread Brent Harding
Wow. I never heard of a cable company discontinuing one building unless the
manager signed some exclusive agreement with someone else. I was scared that
we have dish in this building, but the manager had it run alongside Charter.
If they took charter out of here, I would probably be stuck with 3G because
the entry system is one of those all the lines pass through before hitting
AT&T, likely precluding DSL. Anyways, I think the store settings and Icloud
should let you sign out.

Hello Dave, Apple's number you want is 1-877-204-3930. As to your id
question, what happens if you choose the log off option from the settings
 > Store section? If you choose log off or sign out, I forget how it's
worded, perhaps this will allow you to sign in with your new id.

Thanks.
