Hello James, How annoying it would be to get Amber alerts from a totally different part of the world! Check settings / notifications, go to the very bottom of the list. In the US, we have 2 entries under government alerts. One is Amber alert which you can toggle on / off. The other is emergency alerts which is everything else. Since you are getting alerts from the US, maybe these options will show up for you. Hopefully you don't get weather alerts from the US too! Luckily we in the US can turn Amber alerts off. I would certainly be of no help there. If I was sighted, I would have the Amber alert on. Recently an amber alert was issued in Ontario for a missing 3-year old boy and I think it was around 4 or 5 in the morning. About a dozen people called 9 1 1 to complain about being woken up and who gives the government the right to do this and they just don’t care anyways if a child was missing.
