I've never seen a start button, but that may be because I got Google maps too late. Anyhow, the way I plan routes is to use the search button. Is there another way? Note: I've only used Google maps for walking directions. Hello Sly, Unfortunetly, the latest version of the Google Maps makes it impossible for you to use the turn-by-turn in Voice Over. As of v1.1 you will not be able select this button which can't be seen by the Voice Over. Google is aware of this problem and says that it should be fixed in the next version.
