Anything to do with notification grouping refers to iOS 12 since it is the
first iOS version where notification grouping is available.

Yes you can: go into Settings/Notificacions, and go into the app in which you’d
like to turn Grouping off; at the very bottom you’ll see an option for this.
Good luck!

Re: IOS12 & locked Screen

2018-09-20 Thread Kimber Gardner
You have to turn it off individually for each notification. It is
under the heading of options. It's called grouping or something like
that and is set to default to automatic. It's a bit of a pain to have
to turn each one off individually but it's better than nothing.

Re: IOS12 & locked Screen

2018-09-20 Thread Vicki W.
I'm not sure either. I will say that I do not use a passcode or touch ID if
that makes a difference. So, if it keeps this up, I want to turn off group
messaging and I'm not finding out where or how to do this.

Would you recommend I try a passcode to see if that makes a difference or can
you tell me how to turn off group messaging? I found nowhere in the messaging
or notification setting to do it.

Thanks.

Not sure why you experience this. If I have a number of messages say from my
Ring video doorbell, a few more from my Schlage smart doorlock, a couple from
the CBC News app and some more from Facebook I can swipe through all of these
groups and double tap on any one to expand it and see all the notifications
init.

I don't mind them being grouped, but when a grouped notification appears on
my locked screen, the previous one disappears so I am only seeing one message
at a time. This means if several grouped messages come in, all the previous one
disappears and only the most recent ones go away and I am never sure if there
are more without going into notifications and looking there.

If I unlock my screen, even the last one disappears.

Before, if I received an alert or more than one message, they didn't
disappear off the locked screen until I made them go away. Now only one at
a

time shows up and I am missing messages when I don't hear them come in and
another comes in after it, as well as any alerts.

They will show up in the notification center, but I don't want to keep
having to check there to see if I have missed something.

Thanks.

RE: IOS12 & locked Screen

2018-09-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Vicky,

Not sure why you experience this. If I have a number of messages say from my
Ring video doorbell, a few more from my Schlage smart doorlock, a couple from
the CBC News app and some more from Facebook I can swipe through all of these
groups and double tap on any one to expand it and see all the notifications
init.

I don't mind them being grouped, but when a grouped notification appears on my
locked screen, the previous one disappears so I am only seeing one message at a
time. This means if several grouped messages come in, all the previous one
disappears and only the most recent ones go away and I am never sure if there
are more without going into notifications and looking there.

If I unlock my screen, even the last one disappears.
