There is Eyenote. It's free. I believe it is the treasury department's app. It can be a little flaky, but works well much of the time. This app uses the camera to take a picture instead of using the video mode used by LookTel Money Reader, but perhaps this would be a good alternative for your sighted colleague. HTH. Hi, I can confirm this. I placed a $20 bill on a table, snapped a picture of it and it immediately came back and identified the bill properly. Just for the heck of it I also took a picture of my California ID and it correctly identified that, too. Now I'm curious about what else it will identify. This seems like a cool little app, and you can't beat the price.
