RE: The Truth About Apple Watch

2020-07-05 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
It is very accessible, it may not tell you how many kilometers or miles you
biked on a stationary bike, but it still gives you your heart rate, calories
burned and so on. For things like outdoor walks, runs, swimming and so on it's
fantastic and I look forward to Apple adding more sleep functionality in the
next update. I surely hope they are not going to say you have to buy the latest
sixth generation Apple Watch this fall for this to work, my wife and I also
have last year's fifth gen and I wouldn't at this stage recommend to go lower
than that, in fact, I would probably recommend to wait now until we know what
is coming this fall, it's only a bit more than 2 months when Apple usually
announces their new devices and even if this is pushed off a bit this year just
as WWDC was pushed back by 2 or 3 weeks, it's still worthwhile waiting. It's
also great for notifications or to answer a call if I'm at home around the
house and maybe my iPhone is charging as well as for quick information about
the weather, sunrise and sunset, SIRI questions, dealing with home automation
devices if you have any etc.

Yes I have had pretty good results from using the watchs activity and workout
apps,

I used the workout app to follow my progress during outside walks I did / do
on a daily basis.

And once I get my bike out of storage I'll be able to use it to track my
cycling workouts as well.

Hi, can anyone speak to how well the Apple Watch helped to improve their
health? I'm interested in buying one but only if I can feel confident about the
accessibility of their health apps. I know not to expect perfection. From what
I've been able to gather, it is better about tracking things like walking,
running, and swimming, not so much resistance type activity. I'm okay with
that. I guess I just want to hear from people on either side of the question
who can speak to how well the Apple Watch played a role in their health
regiment, or not.
And, does the series have anything to do with health tracking? Thanks guys for
any information.--Joe
