I just opened Weather Gods, went into the settings, double tapped on activate, 
and there are options to allow Siri and Search, Follow Me, and something else.
I did not tap on Follow me, but maybe if you go back there from the beginning, 
it will offer to stop following?
Or go into the Privacy settings Location services and see if you can change it 
in there.

Perhaps sending a quick note to the app developer might either help you find 
the fix or express the need for the feature to be reinstated if it really isn't 
there any more.  If you tap contact us (think it is in settings) you'll get an 
email address .  I wrote once just passing on a couple of trivial thoughts and 
suggestions and got a response within hours and had a lovely little exchange 
about the app and some of my thoughts about it.

You could try uninstalling the app. Then reinstalling it. This may give you the 
default settings back.
