For Me:
I purchased the Series5 AppleWatch LastYear, &
it was the CellularModel, & Paid for it UpFront,
but didn't Activate it because My Apple
iOSDevice was on Apple's iOS12.4.1, & the
Series5 AppleWatch required Your iOSDevice to
be on Apple's iOS13, & My iOS13
Device wasn't Activated, as I used it on My
MobileCarrier's HotSpot & My HomeWiFi

I'm Not Regratin' MyPurchase because I can Add it if I want to

Yes, indeed.
I have a shoulder bag for my iPhone, so I never leave home without it, (in fact
I have it with me at all times even around the house) so I ordered the GPS
model to save money. I can buy a lot of other things for the extra $100 up
front not to mention the ongoing costs for the cellular stuff.

I did not, and have never had to work with a sim card for my Apple Watch. When
I ordered my Apple Watch, I told them who my cell carrier was, and it came
ready to go. All I had to do is call my carrier and let them add it to my cell

Okay guys,
Since I have never owned an Apple Watch before, excuse my ignorance. Does the
cellular version of the Apple Watch have a physical sim card, or an electronic
card? If it is a physical sim card, is it easy to slide it in and out of the
watch?

I believe they both have GPS, but one has cellular onboard and the other
doesn’t.
I’m considering the series 6 and they have one that is gps and one that is
gps/cellular.
I never leave my home without my phone, so I will go for the one without the
cellular if I decide to do that.

The main reason some people choose to get the cell model is for that exact
reason, you can actually leave your home without your phone if you want. So
yes, with the cell model, you can make and receive calls without your phone, as
well as send and receive messages. Just know, making phone calls on your watch
can drain the battery more quickly.

I also wanted to mention that you can also make and receive calls on the non
cell model as long as your phone is within some distance. So this can come in
handy if you do not want to take your phone out of your pocket.

Hope this helps.

Chris,

I’ve had an apple watch 1 the original,
A series 2 and now a series 4,

None of them have given me more than 2 days battery life at a stretch,

I can get slightly more but not enough to say it made a difference.
But it realy depends on what you are doing in your day and what services /
features on the watch you have running as they will burn up more battery life
the more you have running at the time.

Especially with things like the Blood o2 meter as it has LED’s that tell you
it’s working so they will add to the usage.

Re: What do you guys think of iWatch six?

2020-09-26 Thread Chris Chaffin

The main reason some people choose to get the cell model is for that exact
reason, you can actually leave your home without your phone if you want. So
yes, with the cell model, you can make and receive calls without your phone, as
well as send and receive messages. Just know, making phone calls on your watch
can drain the battery more quickly.

I also wanted to mention that you can also make and receive calls on the non
cell model as long as your phone is within some distance. So this can come in
handy if you do not want to take your phone out of your pocket.

Hope this helps.

Chris

2020-09-25 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Sorry not really a question I can answer re the cellular watchs,

We only have the GPS versions here in new Zealand,

But from what I’m aware of
I believe that yes you can get calls on your watch,I don’t know if that is
correct though.

features on the watch you have running as they will burn up more battery life
the more you have running at the time.

Especially with things like the Blood o2 meter as it has LED’s that tell you
it’s working so they will add to the usage.

Subject: What do you guys think of iWatch six?

Hi folks,
I have to admit that I never thought of an iWatch until now. The great medical
sensors in iWatch six make it more appealing to me than previous watches.
However, I noticed that the apple conference in September 15 never mentioned
anything about the battery life of this iWatch. Did anyone on this list buy it?
If so, What do you think of its battery life? I appreciate any comments on this
watch in general and battery life in particular.
