Re: Call Blocking Apparel: [External] Re: calendars

2019-10-21 Thread Richard Turner
Open Phone settings, go down toward the bottom to silence unknown callers.
Enable that.
Then anyone not in your contacts will not ring.
They will show up in recent calls and they can leave voice mails, but you won't
know that until you check the phone app.

RE: calendars

2019-10-21 Thread Albert Ruel
I use a Google Calendar that is synchronized to my PC in Outlook and to
Fantastical and VO Calendar in my iPhone XR. Fantastical is great for
inserting appointments because you can do it all on one line of text, however
VO Calendar is great for looking at each day or week at a glance. Oh, and the
other way I add to and check my calendar is through either Alexa or the Google
Assistant. In fact, I likely use Alexa and G A for most of my appointment
insertions and checks. Alexa, what’s on my calendar this afternoon?

Thx, Albert

I believe in the mail/calendar/contacts settings, there is a setting in the

RE: Calendars

2015-07-21 Thread SSEric
This may be over kill, but if you headed each entry with Work: blah, blah;
birthday: blah blah, etc., you could do a spotlight search for work: or
birthday or whatever, and all events listed as such would display. I believe
it only displays future events, too, so you don't have to worry about seeing
appointments already passed. I do this with doctor appointments by putting
"Dr. t: blah, blah". Then I can quickly see my next scheduled appointments
with that doctor.

Maybe this is more work than is necessary, but it has worked for me.

Calendar questions:
I have created different calendars within the calendar app like work,
appointments, birthdays, etc.
I am wanting to do a couple of things.
1, Be able to list all events for a particular calendar, like birthdays, for
the current month. So at the first of the month, I could just take a quick
glance at the birthdays coming up for that month.
2, Be able to list all events within a particular calendar, like
appointments or work. Have all the events within a particular calendar be
in a list so I could quickly look to see what is coming ahead, and this
could go further than the current month.

I have looked at the native calendar app, plus others like VO Calendar and
Month Cal, but have not found that this can be done in any of them.
To me, if you are able to create different calendars to help organize
events, shouldn't there be a way of grouping events by the different
calendar categories.

If anyone knows how to do this, or knows of a calendar app that does do
this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Chris

Re: Calendars

2015-07-20 Thread Chris Chaffin

Yes, I do know that I can go into calendars and choose the one I want. But
lets say that its July 1st and I want to see what birthdays are coming up in
July. I was looking for a way of just listing the birthdays for July without
having to go through each day of the month. I am talking about something like
a filter.
I do not think this is possible, but I think it would be a really good feature.
