Ah, Christopher, your post jogged my memory regarding the gesture.  I had a 
very annoying similar situation, I believe, and someone had posted a fix which 
I couldn’t find.

Try doing the double tap and hold on the place just before the doc, where it 
says page one of x.  that will give you an edit box.  If it says “social”,  try 
deleting that and entering a space.  Then I believe you would hit done to get 
out of editing.

This might be the problem since maybe you renamed the folder icon with the word 
social. Not sure how to undo this, but maybe someone else has a solution. I

A three finger double tap and hold will label an image and not rename a folder. 
This might be the problem since maybe you renamed the folder icon with the word

Hello, 

This sounds suspiciously like an old problem that arose in IOS 14. I don't 
recall the exact details but it involved the repeated word getting assigned to 
the "page identifier" on the home screen. This is the item that says "1 of 5" 
or however many home pages you have. 

The fix, as best I recall it, is to focus on the page identifier then edit its 
label with the 2-finger double tap and hold gesture. The repeating word should 
show up as the label. Replace it with a space and save it. 

I hope this gives enough information to let you fix the problem or let someone 
else who can recall all the detail stepsremember them. Good luck.

Hmm, I’m not sure how this works for other settings, but I have my iPhone set 
up to not put new apps in my home pages. They just show up in the App Library. 
If I want to move them to my home page or into a folder I can just drag them 
from the App Library. I can do a three finger swipe down in the App Library to 
get rid of the default folders and just list my apps alphabetically.

No I am not sharing any of these folders that’s still happening even when I 
swipe around even just an email it’s still saying social and I don’t even have 
email in my social folder. It’s like voiceover has seen the element but it’s 
seeing it everywhere. I don’t know really what’s going on I’ve tried everything 
apart from doing a hard reset of my iPhone and that’s it.from much

Apple does this automatically, based on the content inside the folders. 
Thus, your social media content is categorised accordingly.



So, to prvent this automatic categorisation, you can rename each of the 
originating folders and their subfolders containing social media 
content; then move these folders into different places.
