RE: Any problems people have with the iPhone 5C

I am already wearing headphone to do my transcription, wearing the iPhone
ones at the same time is something I have done a few times but most of the
time it is uncomfortable, only have done it when I know I am getting a call
soon.

Hi Rose,

Using the headset will fix this, well, maybe I shouldn't say fix because
it's not a fix, but a work-around.

In an office environment where your iPhone maybe is on your desk or in your
purse it would be easy to just have the Apple headset plugged in and all you
have to do is grab the right side with the remote, put it in your ear and
press the answer button on the remote. I usually have my iPhone in my belt
clip and I just have the headset hanging around my neck.often have my iPhone

I only wish they would fix the problem of it being on speaker when it is up

Hi Cait,

Just as a suggestion, did you check what the audio routing is set to in the
Accessibility settings?

Anyhow, I'd rather have it go and stay on the earpiece since I wish Apple
would take out this automatic switching to speakerphone. I see little reason
why a Voiceover user can't tap the Speakerphone button if the call should be
on Speakerphone just like any sighted person. I think overall this automatic
switching to speakerphone causes more issues than what it's worth.

My wife got her 5C yesterday and I have been helping her set it up. The
speaker sounds nicer than the 5, it gets better battery life on some things,
and works like a charm. The back is a composite material that is very
slippery, so having a case for it is almost a must. It's a tiny bit heavier,
but you hardly notice. I even think the microphone call quality

Is marginally better than the 5, which wouldn't be hard to do.

I think that the 5C has the same battery as the 5 but rather the software is
better optimized. Some one correct me if I'm wrong.

I think that the 5C has the same battery as the 5 but rather the
software is better optimized. Some one correct me if I'm wrong.

RE: Any problems people have with the iPhone 5C

2013-10-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel

Sieghard

RE: Any problems people have with the iPhone 5C

2013-10-14 Thread Neal Ewers
Sieghard and others. Thanks for this. I have actually done a bit of research
since I asked the question. The only differences I could find were.

The case is made of a composite material and is a tiny bit thicker and
heavier than the 5. There are different colors available.

Someone said that the speaker was some how different sounding, but I have
not authenticated that.

Battery life on calls is actually better on the C than on the 5. So the
different battery may account for the extra weight.

In all, it seems to be much the same. I don't know if any of the problems
Cara reported are problems on the C or not, but I have not read anything to
make me think that is true. At least, not yet.

Thanks much all.

Hi, Muy wife wanted to purchase a Verizon contract with the iPhone 5.
She was told they were no longer being sold. So, my question. Are there
thos of you who have the iPhone 5C and if so, have you encountered any
problems yet. I was a bit put off by Kara’s message earlier, not by
Kara, of course, but by what the message had to say. My wife will not
want to spend that much money anyway, so she will settle for the 5C. But
I thought I would see if anyone who is using it has found any problems
with it. She will not be using VoiceOver.

Thanks much for your help.
