I am already wearing headphone to do my transcription, wearing the iPhone ones at the same time is something I have done a few times but most of the time it is uncomfortable, only have done it when I know I am getting a call soon. RE: Any problems people have with the iPhone 5C
My wife got her 5C yesterday and I have been helping her set it up. The speaker sounds nicer than the 5, it gets better battery life on some things, and works like a charm. The back is a composite material that is very slippery, so having a case for it is almost a must. It's a tiny bit heavier, but you hardly notice. I even think the microphone call quality Is marginally better than the 5, which wouldn't be hard to do. Thanks all for the help. RE: Any problems people have with the iPhone 5C
Hi Cait, Just as a suggestion, did you check what the audio routing is set to in the Accessibility settings? Anyhow, I'd rather have it go and stay on the earpiece since I wish Apple would take out this automatic switching to speakerphone. I see little reason why a Voiceover user can't tap the Speakerphone button if the call should be on Speakerphone just like any sighted person. I think overall this automatic switching to speakerphone causes more issues than what it's worth. RE: Any problems people have with the iPhone 5C
Sieghard and others. Thanks for this. I have actually done a bit of research since I asked the question. The only differences I could find were. The case is made of a composite material and is a tiny bit thicker and heavier than the 5. There are different colors available. Someone said that the speaker was some how different sounding, but I have not authenticated that. Battery life on calls is actually better on the C than on the 5. So the different battery may account for the extra weight. In all, it seems to be much the same. I don't know if any of the problems Cara reported are problems on the C or not, but I have not read anything to make me think that is true. At least, not yet. Thanks much all. Re: Any problems people have with the iPhone 5C
I have a 5 C and love it. the problems I've experienced have been some of those related to voiceover. these are a different screen sensitivity since installing OS7.x(I get this on my i pad 2, also), when a call comes in, the phone automatically goes to earpiece/up to the ear mode, even if I'm holding it away from my face. Other then the little software things, which I think will even out as time goes on, the hardware seems nice. The phone is light but not overly so. hth, Cait On 2013-10-14, at 5:16 PM, Sieghard Weitzel wrote: > Hi Neil, > > I don’t see why she should have any issues with the 5C, it’s basically a 5 in > a plastic housing. Hi Neil, I don't see why she should have any issues with the 5C, it's basically a 5 in a plastic housing.
