Hi, I just got a new recipe app that I really, really like: It's "Whole Foods Market Recipes." It appears to be entirely accessible (unlike the Whole Foods shopping list app, which is not!), and you can search for recipes in a number of categories, including by listing ingredients that you have onhand. The app is free. That particular app I'm not familiar with. I will say though that some of the cooking apps, like Big Oven, all Recipes, and Epicurius have different ethnic recipes. If you're looking for something specific, I recommend searching for a specific ethnicity (followed by the word recipes,) in the apps store. I have not, but this is because I haven't ventured in my own cooking beyond American, Thai, Greek, and Italian; due more to time than anything else. *smile* Amy Billman SpeedDots: your leader for cell phone accessories, and the makers of the tactile screen protector http://www.SpeedDots.com Follow us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/SpeedDots Like us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/SpeedDots -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of John Diakogeorgiou Sent: Thursday, September 13, 2012 9:34 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Cooking App for the iPhone I have heard of one called IRecipes. RE: Cooking App for the iPHone
Well, I honestly haven't encountered a situation where my phone or any other device I've used for recipes in the kitchen, (Booksense for example,) has either gotten messy or in particular, dropped in my food. Now that I say that, it'll happen I bet... LOL! That being said, there are sleeves that you can purchase, (also kitchen mounts for the iPad,) that will cover your phone to keep it free from messes. I will say though that I'm one of those people who is constantly taking my phone out of its case, and cleaning the case with Dawn and my phone with a little Windex. I find that just general day to day use makes both icky from sweat or dust from your daily traveling alone. So it really could be that my being a bit neurotic when it comes to the cleanliness of my phone is what's keeping things from getting messed up in the kitchen. Hi, Simply put it in a zip lock bag and it will stay clean and away from liquids. Gestures work just fine in the bag.
