Hi, Google Voice services will work whether you have an iPhone or not.
So, if you have an iPhone it won't matter.

Re: GoogleVoice App & iPhone

2013-08-24 Thread Ricardo Walker
Hi,

its the same across the board. It doesn’t matter what model of the iPhone you
have as long as your running a version of IOS that the google Voice app
supports. I’m probably guessing at this point that would be IOS 5 and higher.
Maybe even IOS 4.

This sounds good and I do have a google email account of course; but
logging in, this involves the account password too no doubt? I long since
forgot it and last time I checked, it had a capture in order to have it
reset. I had the email settings saved in an .IAF file which is a windows
thing for saving and importing email account settings into the various MS
mailers; I'm still on outlook Express. so the .IAF is the only copy of
something with the password and it works, but I couldn't login with it.

So where does that leave me? though reckon I can work out the answer
to that.

2012-11-07 Thread Hope Paulos
Hi. I just set up this app to use with my Google voice account. When someone
calls me, on my Google voice number, they are routed immediately to voicemail.
How do I keep this from happening? I would like to be able to answer calls.
Thanks!

Hi, you can also do this through GV Connect. They are still phone calls,
but you can use the call back feature and it makes an incoming call from
your GV number back to your phone even though it's an outgoing call to
whoever. They don't show up in your cell carrier call list, but they do
show up in your Google Voice call log.

It was not accessible for me when I did it last night. I had to have sighted
assistance to get through the set up. I decided I didn't like it and am now
using my Google Voice with a different app that is totally accessible. The

Someone said you get a real number, is that just a Us number? I used to have

All comments and advice welcome. The setup process in particular, the

Hi, when I've done this and had to answer the captcha, I used Firefox

Re: GoogleVoice?

2012-11-07 Thread Rob Harris
This sounds good and I do have a google email account of course; but
logging in, this involves the account password too no doubt? I long since
forgot it and last time I checked, it had a capture in order to have it
reset. I had the email settings saved in an .IAF file which is a windows
thing for saving and importing email account settings into the various MS
mailers; I'm still on outlook Express. so the .IAF is the only copy of
something with the password and it works, but I couldn't login with it.

So where does that leave me? though reckon I can work out the answer
to that.

Hello All,

Here's a helpful tip. If you already have an existing GMail account,
just log into it first then go to the page to set up google voice. You
won't have to solve the captia since you have the google acount.

GV connect is completely accessible, the only reason I see using talkatone, is
so it will root your calls through wifi, but if you have unlimited talk and

assistence probably, if you don't have patients. I did, and set it up in less

Re: GoogleVoice?

2012-11-06 Thread Timothy Emmons
Hey Rob, I've set it up, it's a bear to do especially with the Capcha thing,
but I was able to listen to it and get it figured out eventually. You can
choose to port your old Cell number or choose a new number and I chose a new
number. I set it up for texting and calling and use an app called Talkatone,
that works with google voice to allow for phone calls. I can't remember all the
steps I went through to set it up, but it's pretty straight forward until you
get to the capcha, but once pased that you're set to go, the page is fairly
easy to navigate and you can adjust things to your liking. I'll see if I can
recreate the steps and send them once I get them. Thanks again and take care.

It was not accessible for me when I did it last night. I had to have sighted
assistance to get through the set up. I decided I didn't like it and am now
using my Google Voice with a different app that is totally accessible. The
app is called Talkatone and the developer is TalkMe.IM, Inc. I totally love
it.

Can anyone describe the process of setting up and the app for GoogleVoice
please?

Someone said you get a real number, is that just a Us number? I used to have
a UK number with skype years ago.

All comments and advice welcome. The setup process in particular, the
times I've started, got to the end, then found the dreaded capture thinghy
we ro at least I, can never get past.

Thanks, RobH.
