While you are using iTunes Match, you can download the copies of music from the
iTunes store at any time; these downloads will replace the files on your
computer. This is great if you ripped the music at a lower bit rate than the
copies in the iTunes store. If you stop using the service, you can keep using

So, to be clear, are you saying that, S I rip CDs that I have purchased, I will

Not directly. You cannot tell the Amazon echo to play such and such from Apple
music or iTunes or anything like that. You can connect and I device to echo via
Bluetooth, open your music and your music library started playing, and then
access it that way with echo. But you can't just tell the echo to do it.

Hi Larry,

iTunes Match makes all your music available to download on any of your devices,
whether you bought it in the app store or ripped CDs yourself. It doesn't
include audiobooks. You can download any movie you purchase to any of your
devices. This isn't a function of iTunes Match; it's a general function of
iCloud available to all iTunes users.

Anna

Re: ITunes match questions

2015-11-18 Thread Wayne Merritt
Though I just subscribed to iTunes Match this year, I am going to
really like it since I will be able to have my music with me no matter
what device I will be using in the future. So if I upgrade to a newer
iPhone or other i-device, then I have access to all the songs and
playlists that I had created and added to my library on prior devices.
Well worth the effort, especially when presented with the idea of
transferring all my purchased and/or ripped music to a new phone all
over again. No thanks!
