Hi Karen, I agree that the shake to start and stop feature is very nice.
Also, just so you know, it's Voxie, not Voxy.

Thanks.

When you press the record button, all you have to do is double tap where you

I found the upgrade button and plunked down the 7.99 for the full version.
Seems a little steep but it does have a lot of funtionality.

One question, when I start recording VO seems to get rather flaky. I hear
something being read as I drag my finger over the screen, but the volume is
very very low which makes it difficult to find the pause button.

Any thoughts on what's going on with that?

Hi all.
Why not just use voice memos? It's already on the phone and you can hear VO
talking as the recording is happening.
I use it to record my class lectures all the time. I used to do this on my
victor stream until I found out that the iPhone makes better recordings.

Re: Need to record a meeting using the iPhone

2012-07-16 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi, did you follow the tutorials? Voice Over is sent to the headphones
when it's recording, however there is a 2 second delay when you start
recording so that Voice Over isn't recorded. By default, voice over is
places on the pause button. So, when you are done recording, just
double-tap anywhere on the screen. Of course this doesn't work if you
have tapped around, changing the selection by default. I hope this makes
sense.

If you need extra help with this, write me off list and I'll be happy to
do what I can. I'm a recent convert to List Recorder and find it
amazingly powerful.

Re: Need to record a meeting using the iPhone

2012-07-16 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi. You need to buy the full version to record more than 10 seconds.
This is done from the Help section and the buy full version section.
It's an in-app purchase.

Thanks.

Hi Karen, I agree that the shake to start and stop feature is very nice.
Also, just so you know, it's Voxie, not Voxy.

Thanks.

Hi, there are several apps to choose from. One which is very nice and

RE: Need to record a meeting using the iPhone

2012-07-16 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Kimber,

Voiceover is routed to the earpiece as soon as you start recording. I
assume they do this so Voiceover is not picked up in the recording. I
actually have been meaning to write to the developer because one thing I
think they should implement is to start recording and to pause recording
with a 2-finger double tap. I also wouldn't mind seeing a shake to
start/pause recording as you get with Voxy. They also have been announcing
for a long time that in a future update it would be possible to append to an
existing recording and I wonder when they expect to have an update out with
that feature.

There are some pretty comprehensive podcasts on www.applevis.com about List
Recorder and their sample files are pretty good once you get the hang of it.
After that you can delete them all.

Take care,
Sieghard

Re: Need to record a meeting using the iPhone

2012-07-16 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,
VO volume is lower because you probably don't want VO to be the main thing you
hear on your recording.
Try using earphones when recording.
Also when you begin recording, the pause button has focus, so all you have to
do is double tap with one finger and recording will pause and I believe VO will
be back at normal volume.
HTH,
Richard

Re: Need to record a meeting using the iPhone

2012-07-16 Thread Kimber Gardner
I found the upgrade button and plunked down the 7.99 for the full
version. Seems a little steep but it does have a lot of funtionality.

One question, when I start recording VO seems to get rather flaky. I
hear something being read as I drag my finger over the screen, but the
volume is very very low which makes it difficult to find the pause
button.

Any thoughts on what's going on with that?

Thanks
