Sure, use a VPN service such as is offered as http://witopia.net. I use Witopia to get content from the US, the UK and Australia that I otherwise wouldn't be able to access. It also has security benefits when using public hotspots. RE: TuneIn radio question
The clear channel stations are not available to those using tunein outside the u.s. The frustrating thing is that you can't even listen to them using a desktop computer unless I can figure out how to trick their website to think that I am in the u.s instead of canada. I don't know why clear channel blocks their content since you can get most of what they carry on other networks. Maybe somebody here can show me how to get tunein to think I am in the u.s. Excuse me? I do not see the purpose for the way you responded to me below. Try WTAM. It is a clear channel station and I listen to them all the time on Tunin. Pleas try being a bit more polite when someone does not agree with you. You might also want to open your mind a little and then you would realize that other people besides yourself might know something you don't. I've had it for a while, so I really can't remember what I paid for it. I upgraded to the paid version very shortly after I downloaded the free app, but can't remember exactly why. It may be similar to Pandora in that one is limited to a certain number of hours per month of listening time with the free app. I hear ads on the various radio stations using the paid app, but this doesn't bother me, as I find it interesting to listen to ads from other parts of the world. Re: TuneIn radio question
TuneIn simply connects you with stations around the world; it doesn't control the content of those stations. If the station has commercials then you will hear commercials as well. That said, TuneIn Pro has a few accessibility issues. For the moment I'd recommend Ootunes instead if you're looking for a paid app with all the bells and whistles. Cheers. RE: TuneIn radio question
The correct name for the paid app is Tune-In Radio Pro. RE: TuneIn Radio Question.
Hi Jim, As others have pointed out, one way is to go into Car Mode then find the search option. Another is if you touch the spot on the screen where the Car Mode button is, then slide your finger down enough to get off the Car Mode Button, but not so far as to get on the next button--so you are in the seemingly dead area of the screen and double tap, a search option will magically appear. Actually, It is not very magical, it is just that they didn't label that spot on the screen. My sighted wife can see it, but nothing speaks when you touch that spot until you double tap. Re: TuneIn Radio Question.
It's actually not that bad. If you're using Tunein on your phone, go into Car Mode which is one of the buttons on the home screen after you launch Tunein. You are presented with a few buttons, one of which is search for stations, songs shows, etc. Dobule tap that it brings up the edit box and tap in, wcbs and hit search, It will bring up your results. Exit car mode and it will drop you in your results I believe, haven't done it in a day or two, but it will show you your results and you find the one you want and double tap it and you're golden. Hope that helps Thanks again and take care. On Dec 7, 2012, at 4:03 PM, Tara Prakash wrote: > Oh god. There definitely is. But finding it is a nightmare for me in the > latest version.
