One other solution is a lightning splitter. It has one male lightning plug on
one end and two female lightning ports on the other. Not sure if it would owkr
with all applications.

   Kay,

So now that we have all the details, it sounds like you want an adapter with
two lightning ports into which you can plug both a lightning microphone and a
lightning headset. The Belkin Rockstar is an adapter with two lightning female
ports with about a 2 inch cable and a male lightning connector. I know this
cable will allow you to both charge with one of the ports and do something else
with the other port but I’m not sure both the microphone and headset would work
when plugged into it. Since the Rockstar costs about $40, you should make sure
what you intend to do will work.

2021-09-18 Thread Alan Lemly
Kay,

You should use the 3.5mm jack on your IQ7 when using headphones with a 3.5mm
plug. FYI, the Belkin Rockstar comes in a model with a 3.5mm port and a
lightning port with the male lightning plug to connect to your device. However,
I’m pretty sure this adapter only lets you power up your device with the
lightning port while connecting another accessory in the other port. I’m pretty
sure it will not allow you to connect two separate devices simultaneously in
its two ports and both of them work. But it sounds like this is a nonissue for
you at this point.

Oh, I should have mentioned that it is not for talking on the phone, but for
recording conversations such as podcasts for example when there is more than
one person present. I've got several headphones with mics in them.

Interesting Alan,
Actually, I don't have a headphone with a lightning plug, but this
configuration would work in the event that I needed to charge my phone while
using the Mic. I assume you can also get an adapter with a lightning port
and a 3.5 MM female jack to plug a headphone in to as well?

  Kay,

So now that we have all the details, it sounds like you want an adapter
with two lightning ports into which you can plug both a lightning microphone
and a lightning headset. The Belkin Rockstar is an adapter with two
lightning female ports with about a 2 inch cable and a male lightning
connector. I know this cable will allow you to both charge with one of the
ports and do something else with the other port but I’m not sure both the
microphone and headset would work when plugged into it. Since the Rockstar
costs about $40, you should make sure what you intend to do will work.

Kay,

So now that we have all the details, it sounds like you want an adapter with
two lightning ports into which you can plug both a lightning microphone and a

ports with about a 2 inch cable and a male lightning connector. I know this
cable will allow you to both charge with one of the ports and do something else
with the other port but I’m not sure both the microphone and headset would work
when plugged into it. Since the Rockstar costs about $40, you should make sure
what you intend to do will work.

Re: adapter question

2021-09-17 Thread Kay Malmquist
Yes, I probably should have been more clear. I would like to use the mic
when I am using headphones and if I am using headphones they would be
taking up the lightning plug, thus I would need one on the adapter with the
headphone jack. Kind of like what you might use if you were charging the
phone wile using the headphone jack. I hope this makes more sense. By the
way, thanks much for the link. I'll have a look at it right away.

  Hi Kay,
Doesn't the Zoom mic fit in the Mini Lightning port?
Anyway here is the link to the adapter that will let you use the standard
3.5 MM headphone plugto the lightning port on the Mini.

That is about as cheap as I have seen or heard of. And I wouldn’t mind
grabbing one. Thanks a bunch for coming back with the answer to this.
