Re: managing multiple devices with one braille display
Yeah, I was afraid of that! As long as it is actually only paired with one iOS device, you are okay no matter what else is around. But once you pair with more than one, this will happen. Guess I just need to only have it paired with one iOS device at a time and change what is paired if I want to use the display with a different device via bluetooth. -- Cheryl I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf. Re: managing multiple devices with one braille display
Wow, that is tricky. I use the same display with my mac and my iPod, and have few problems with that. When I get notifications, my display sticks with whatever I've got it on at the time. I've never tried it with multiple iOS devices. Is it possible you could turn off notifications for some apps on some devices? Or turn off notifications on locked screens for some of them? Other than that, I am stumped. HtH, Teresa Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.--Richard P. Correction: I meant to say turn off *speak notifications in locked screen. This way you could still hear the alert tones for at least some of the devices. HtH, Teresa Visualize whirled peas. Re: managing multiple devices with one braille display
I tried turning off notifications in locked screen but my devices still announce something about having a certain number of notifications periodically so that still doesn't solve the problem. I haven't had much problem with this when using just a Mac plus one i-device. Of course with the Edge, it's also possible to have the Mac on usb with the display and the i-device on bluetooth and then I can switch back and forth very nicely. Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I can just be thankful for being able to have enough devices to have to deal with such a problem in the first place :-) -- Cheryl I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
