Re: the iPhone 10 xr

2019-02-09 Thread Mary Otten
Well, yes. He will notice a speed increase from a 6S to the XR. As for what
makes it the best, from the point of you of a blind person, the big difference
between the EXR and the rest of the line is the display. And since I can’t see
the display, I don’t care. Same processor. Better battery life. Better audio
certainly than your 6S.

RE: the iPhone 10 xr

2019-02-10 Thread khaffar
Hi

There is a significant difference between the xr and the 6S. I had purchased
the XR initially and really liked it, however, the issue for me was with the
size of the XR, I carry the phone with me all the time at work and found it to
be somewhat bulky for me. I ended up getting the XS which is more money but I
had a good deal on the XS through my carrier at the time. Although it doesn't
seem to be much smaller than the XR but it had made a difference for me. With
regard to the audio it is much better than the 6S or 6s+ for sure. If it wasn't
for the difference in size, I would have stayed with the XR because if you
don't have any vision there is no difference in terms of speed or audio.

Cheers,

hi okay what I would like ti know is.

For someone wanting to up grade the Phone.

From lets say the 6 s plus to the 10 xr.

What makes that phone out of the 10 line out there the best one to get?

And is the xr as big as the six s plus?

And how is the audio on that phone compared to the six s and if you would
upgrade to that phone from the six s plus?

Would you notice A speed increase from one model to another?

RE: the iPhone 10 xr

2019-02-10 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Casey,

If your 6S still works well I would wait until the fall. We are now almost half
way to September which is when the next series of phones will be released and
even if you want to get an XR you will get one cheaper then.
As others pointed out, the XR definitely is bigger than your 6S.
If you are anywhere near an Apple Store I highly recommend you make your way
there at some point and ask them to show you the different phones.

I migrated from the 6 to the XR. The XR is considerably larger than
the 6, but even though my hands are not huge, I find it comfortable to
use. It is considerably faster -- you will notice the difference right
away! And, it is considerably louder -- and that's one of the best
things. I have continued to hang onto our landline, principly because
I felt like I could always hear better on the landline phone than I
cound using the IPhone, but since I've had the XR, I've found myself
calling people on my IPhone whenever the phone was in my hand already
and I needed to reach someone by phone. The XR is lots more
comfortable to hear!

RE: the iPhone 10 xr

2019-02-10 Thread Carolyn Arnold
I keep hoping that eventually, they will come out with a smaller phone like the
SE.

My sighted cousin needs a new phone, is an Android user, has the Samsung mini.
They no longer make them. She is really unhappy, because she, like I, enjoys a
small phone, does not want a big one. She said she did not want to go around on
the phone looking like she is talking to a tablet. The guy at Consumer Cellular
has recommended to her the Motorola Moto G. He says it is a very good phone and
reasonable. She said she probably will get it. She is a Samsung girl - would be
big buddies with Olusegun. Her best friend just got her daughter-in-law's
iPhone 6, when daughter-in-law got an XR. My cousin tried to get her friend to
get an Android when her iPhone 4 was biting the dust. Her friend said she
couldn't, because her son has her on share location, and my cousin could not
convince her about that. Her friend says she has to have an iPhone because of
that.

Best regards,

Carolyn

2019-02-10 Thread Robert Wright
The XR is smaller than the 6s plus.

That is encouraging to hear about the XR, since it is possible I'll end up with
that. I would not just go up to a 7, doubt if to an 8.

Best regards,

Carolyn

I migrated from the 6 to the XR. The XR is considerably larger than the 6, but
even though my hands are not huge, I find it comfortable to use. It is
considerably faster -- you will notice the difference right away! And, it is
considerably louder -- and that's one of the best things. I have continued to
hang onto our landline, principly because I felt like I could always hear
better on the landline phone than I cound using the IPhone, but since I've had
the XR, I've found myself calling people on my IPhone whenever the phone was in
my hand already and I needed to reach someone by phone. The XR is lots more
comfortable to hear!

Penny
