I tried this, and found both the Windows program and the IOS app to be
completely inaccessible; how did others find it?

I Googled this and found the ShareIt app on the app store, here is the
description:

The world’s fastest way to share photos, videos, contacts and TXT, HTML,
WORD,EXCEL,PPT,PDF, etc to another device.
Lenovo SHAREit eliminates the need for cables to wirelessly transfer
information rapidly between devices – either with friends, or to take your
personal content on the go.
• Share everything with other devices – pictures, videos, documents, contacts,
all kinds of files.
• Devices with SHAREit can automatically find each other when in range.
• Transfer HUGE files and videos in seconds… up to 40x faster than Bluetooth®.
• Share without the need for Bluetooth, you don’t pay a cent for network
charges. Devices may wirelessly connect directly.
Site: http://www.UShareIt.com/

There is a download for Windows on that website and I assume you will have to
download and install this on your PC and install the app from the app store on
your iOS device. Maybe the person who posted this has done it and can say more
about how accessible this is and whether you can indeed transfer, for example,
a music file or files to your iphone and have them accessible in the music app.
I have a feeling that maybe you have to use all these files inside the ShareIt
app or maybe some files you can save to or open in other apps, but if Apple
makes it impossible to transfer music files and ringtones via other apps then I
don't see how this app can do it. But I am of course happy to be proven wrong.

I heard there is an application, "shareIt" which can transfer music
using wifi connection. So no need to use iTune.

Re: transfering music from itunes to iphone

2016-05-14 Thread Jennie Facer
Unfortnunately, I don't think there is an easierwas to transfer music to your
phone than with iTunes. If you want more help, I would be happy to help you,
but please contact me off list.
Thanks,
Jenn

RE: transfering music from itunes to iphone

2016-05-14 Thread Richard Turner
Plug your phone into your computer via the USB cable.
Unlock it.
In iTunes, tab until you find the iPhone button and hit spacebar or enter.
Tab to the "treeview" and arrow down, very, very slowly, as it takes time to
refresh.
When you get to music, tab and make sure Sync Music is checked.
I sync my entire library which is another checkbox option, or you can elect to
sync only certain songs. Someone else will have to help you with that if you
want to do that.

When done, go to the apply or sync button, whichever it is and hit it and it
will sync your music.

Richard
