I wish I had an iPad here. then I could duplicate the circumstances and try to 
find the solution.

btw, you can send a message to youtube tv support and they can call back and 
walk you through all the troubleshooting on the phone.

Thanks for your reply.  I have chrome cast working on google home.  What I am 
trying to do is to get the youtube app to work on my iPad like it does on the 
iPhone.  I should be able to watch tv with the app on iPad.

you might have to download and setup with ggoogle home in order to get the 
chrome cast device to interface wit the youtube tv app. I had to do this on my 
iPhone, and after that was done, signing in on the youtube tv app was simple 
and worked. I can't say the same for the chrome app on my windows machine. It 
will allow me to sign in, but the interface presented is not very accessible 
(none of the buttons appear to work properly).
