Seeking app for answering Iphone 4s
Hello, Can anybody recommend an application that makes it easier to answer my phone. I do woodturning on a lathe and my fingers have a fine layer of sawdust on them and sometimes my phone won't answer when I slide or double tap the screen. I have tried to use a stylus, but by the time I get my phone out of my pocket and then get my stylus out the phone has stopped ringing. A friend of mine has an android phone and told me about an app called shake or something like that. Apparently you can shake the phone to answer it and hang it up too. Is this available for the Iphone and is it accessible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi Ray, Remember that a two-finger double-tap is how you answer the phone if VoiceOver is running. You could also wear headphones when you're working with the lathe; then you tap the center button to answer a call. You could also try a Bluetooth ear peace. You would hear the phone ring both from your phone and from the ear peace. Then all you would need to do to answer the call is to press a button on the ear peace and never have to take your phone out of your pocket. I use a Plantronics 520 Bluetooth ear peace which is probably no longer made but I do like the hands free operation for just such kinds of activities. I first got it because when walking with a dog guide and having 1 hand on the harness handle and the other giving hand signals, I ran out of hands to answer the phone. As far as I know this is only possible if you jailbreak your phone. I know that is less than ideal and most likely not even an option right now but it's the only thing that I know would work.
