Spell Stack again
I went to sign again on SpellStack where it says to make an account. I was presented with a screen that has make an account, log out, etc. I still do not know if I have an account or not. I need someone to try and find me so I will know. I still am not sure what I am doing, but I thought I could learn playing. I could not hear VO on tutorial, and I also wanted to ask the developer if he could put in phonetic spelling as I am having problems hearing some letters even with my hearing aids. I do not know if this would be helped with the music off. I am about to give up on this app as my being too dumb to understand and if I cannot find a way to hear better, I will be forced to junk it. Hi Reggie, In case you haven't come across it yet, you can mute the music if you go into the settings for the game. I agree that the music does make VO hard to hear on the tutorial. Hello Maria, Here is a great playing guide for the game Spell Stack put together by the developer. http://www.ananseproductions.com/spellstack-players-guide/ Learning how to move letters around and position them is part of the stradegy of the game. I will say that it is very important to look the board over thoroughly before deciding what you want to do. Here are a few tips to keep in mind: * It is always good to use your opponents letters when possible. Either stealing an available letter, or breaking your opponents word if possible. When you steal an opponents letter by using it in your word, it gives your word a bonus and counts for more points. You can read more about stealing letters and breaking your opponents word in the playing guide found at the link above. * You can also move your opponents letters if they have a value of zero, but remember, if they are not placed beside one of your letters, there is a good chance that the letter will be locked and you will not have access to it any longer. * In the same respect, if you have a letter beside your opponents letter, and you choose to move it, and you have no other letters beside that letter of your opponent, then there is a chance that it will become locked where you no longer have access to it. * To unlock a letter that you want to use, you must surround it with your letters if possible. Sometimes depending on the position of the letters, this might not always be possible. * Putting your letters you want to use close together and away from your opponents letters can increase their value, hence, the value of your word will be more. As I said, moving and placing letters is a part of the stradegy of the game. And honestly, a lot of this will just come as you play. The more you play, the better you will get at this. Hi. as for trying to log in, the only thing you can do is to keep trying. I get the error of spell stack not being able to connect a lot. I thought it might be my internet, but I’m not so sure. I like to have lots of games on the go in case people don’t take their turn so I bought the stack with buddies. It was like 1 dollar 99. I also bought the option to remove adds. Hi all. This game is great, and for those who don't understand the finer points such as unlocking letters and moving tiles around to increase points, then try the advanced tutorial or whatever its called once finished the first lot of tutorial levels. It helps a lot. I have a couple of issues not entirely relating to the game. Firstly when I try to use the login via facebook button on the settings page, I just get a cannot connect to spell stack server message telling me that I may not be connected to the internet, but I definitely am. Secondly the game won't let me find any other players by the search. I don't know if its usernames or something else thats supposed to go in the search box but I tried looking for people and got nothing. Thirdly and finally, is there a time limit to the games at all? I've been waiting for a couple of players to make their move against me for a few days and it won't let me start a new game saying that I am at my current limit unlesss I purchase the in app extra to get more games. Hi all I'm battling to even get past the first tutorial. All my letters are blocked in, and no matter which way I try, I can't get them to move to an empty space. Double tap the d, o, and g. They are connected diagonally , which is confusing but there it is. Once the letters say they are selected, double tap the submit button, centered just above the game board. Spell Stack, Questions
Hello, I downloaded spell stack, and I am having a few problems understanding exactly how it is played. I do understand that you have a grid of 25 blocks, 5 rows of 5 blocks each. And you have letters that you have to make words out of. I also notice that you have letters that are X out. I am assuming that these are letters that are previously used, but do not know for sure. And when you make yor word, you must build your word from the letters that you have, but must attach to the existing letters. Is this correct? The only fault I see about the app is I wish it had more detailed instructions about how the game is played. I think I am really going to like the game once I understand exactly how it all works. Any clarification or help other players can give me would be greatly appreciated!
