To take a picture simply double tap on the screen and wait for the identification to come back to you. This will take seven to 10 seconds, depending on your network connection. The image gets sent out to our server where it is processed and then given a tag that is sent back to the user's device. The VoiceOver in the device speaks the identification back to the user. TapTapSee also includes the following four features: The Repeat button was developed in case the identification was missed by the user on the initial response. The Library button allows the user to access the device's Camera Roll in order to send images to TapTapSee for identification. To access this feature simply click on the Library Button and then proceed to select an image that you want to have identified from the Camera Roll (Note: If access to the Camera Roll is denied then the Privacy Settings must be changed on the device). The Share button gives the user the ability to Share the image via Email, Twitter or Facebook. The Share button also includes the option for the user to save the image to the device's Camera Roll and more. TapTapSee gives users a general identification of the images. However, if for example, the user takes a picture of a can of soup and wants to know the name of the brand, the application will be able to read the label and return the identification with the brand name. Nevertheless, keep in mind that TapTapSee will only be able to recognize the objects that are within the camera's scope. Sometimes it take a bit of playing around with TapTapSee to get the desired identification. TapTapSee also has a Focus notification sound that can be turned ON and OFF as desired in the About screen. Once an object comes into focus, the app makes a sound to notify the user that it's in the optimal position to take a photograph. TapTapSee gives the user the ability to take up to three images at a time to be identified. However, the total amount of images taken for identification are unlimited. Hello, when I use the regular camera to take a picture, it will tell me faces, but it will not tell me that effaces centered. It will just say small face or a large face. And I have been told that if he says large face that is when it is centered. Please let me know if you have anymore questions. Best, Dmitriy On Wednesday, June 26, 2013 12:21:41 PM UTC-7, Pinky wrote: Can someone tell me what Tap Tap See can do. Re: TapTapSee Feedback
Hi. Keep up the good database work it is really becoming more and more useful the more things it can identify reliably and we use it to identify cans and boxes that we cannot identify by touch alone. The more products that can be easily identified the better in our opinion. We have however, not had such good luck with using it as a laundry sorting tool the color identification seem not to be that great, though lighting and the 4s camera can be part of the problem here. One day I was standing waiting for the bus and I just took a random picture of the approaching bus, it did not identify the busline sadly but told me there was a man with a blue jacket in front of me which turned out to be true when asked. The man was abit baffled when I approached him but well after telling him the background he found the thing we could use our iPhone for very cool. Best regards, Jesper. Ps. My Guide dog is very displeased with the app though, since it once identified his fron paw as a cat's paw, very humiliating and degrading! *smiles* On 6/27/13, dmit...@taptapseeapp.com dmitriy.konopats...@gmail.com wrote: Susan, You're most welcome. Hello Jesper, First of all, my apologies to your guide dog. That must have been a hard thing to swallow for him. *smile* But in all seriousness, I'm happy that you're finding TapTapSee to be more and more useful with every day. The laundry use of the app as a color sorting tool you mentioned is a good use case that we'll have to take a look into. We'll have to see why the identifications don't come back to you with the proper tags. However, as you mentioned, the lighting of the facility may be part of the reason for the inconsistent results. Nevertheless, we'll take a further look into our system and see if we can improve this issue. Thank you for proving us with your feedback and experiences. Re: TapTapSee Feedback
I agree completely. I love TapTap See, and use it for all sorts of things including sorting the laundry. It's not only the perfect color identifier, but can read logos on T-shirts so well I can sort them between family members. I use it in the kitchen and for many other uses. Thanks so much for a wonderful app. Blessings, Susan On 6/26/13, Alan Paganelli alanandsuza...@earthlink.net wrote: I think Tap Tap See is just fine the way it is.
