UE Boom speaker
Hello Listers, Has any one hurd about the UE Boom speaker? How blind user friendly is it? Thanks Michael email/messenger mikeam...@earthlink.net Skype ID mikeameli JFK "What kind of peace do I mean and what kind of a peace do we seek? Re: UE Boom speaker
Lol, how weird this message just came through. I was just talking about this speaker on the bluetooth speaker thread. I own the larger UE Boom speaker and have been very happy with it. I really like the subtle drum beat hardware sounds. I have found it easy to pair with any device. There iPhone app is fairly voiceover friendly, however the Mac app is not. I only own one of these speakers, so I seldom use the iPhone app. The large indented button on the top center of the speaker is power, the small raised button in front of that is pair. The back of the speaker has 2 large buttons, that I had a difficult time at first identifying. One has a plus sign on it, the other has a minus sign, these are volume buttons. The speaker feels cool, sort of rubbery, and the package is impressive. It comes in a big plastic tube, that may be handy down the line. I’d say the speaker is the size of a tall can of beverage. :) As a side request, if anyone owns this speaker, I’d be interested to know if the windows PC app is accessible. This is the only way to update the unit, via the Mac or Windows apps. Traci On Nov 13, 2014, at 10:18 AM, Michael Amaro wrote: > Hello Listers, > > Has any one hurd about the UE Boom speaker? Re: UE Boom speaker
I always thought that raised bump on the top of the speaker was an indicator light or something. Maybe that's why I've been having so much trouble getting the speaker to reconnect after turning off Bluetooth for a while, and then turning it back on. This rarely happens with my LG HBS700 headset. So, what would the pairing procedure for this speaker be? I'm obviously doing something wrong. I agree with your assessment of the iOS app. I'll have a look at the windows update her up at some point and let you know. It was either really accessible, or I had to use the JAWS cursor and keyboard mouse clicks to do stuff. Re: UE Boom speaker
If I remember correctly, hold down that raised button until you hear the drum beats repeating, go into your bluetooth settings on your phone and tap connect UE Boom. There is a 2 drum beat for successful pairing. Re: UE Boom speaker
Yep, another fun feature. Say you are playing music on your iPad, but a particular song is on your iPhone, you can just switch over to that device. It is especially fun when 2 friends get together and can take turns playing music. 2 devices can be connected at once, but in general, the UE Boom will remember up to 8 devices, and it will automatically reconnect to the last device. I will say that occasionally, I have lost speech while 2 devices are connected. I can’t explain it or pinpoint it to one thing. We have only had 2 devices connected a couple of times. If you have a braille display, you can use it while enjoying the speaker as well. Traci On Nov 13, 2014, at 2:24 PM, Cathy Inglis wrote: > Can you have more than one thing sinked to this speaker?
