Updates to Amazon's Cloud Player app

2012-08-06 Thread Wayne Merritt
Greetings. For those that use the Cloud Player app from Amazon, it has
gotten some updates. If you launch the Cloud Player app, you are
presented with an option to update your app to the new Cloud Player.
In short, that will allow you to access past purchases from the Amazon
MP3 store on your iOS device. This is excellent news, especially for
those like me that have bought many full albums and single songs from
various artists over the last few years. The app will walk you through
the process of updating, and then once it is done, if you double tap
the Artists button, you will again be presented with some buttons that
you have to acknowledge. Once you do this, your music will start to
appear on your iOS device. Even though I've got most of the music in
the Music app, it is nice to have my prior purchases show up in the
Cloud Player app as well. So be sure you grab the Amazon Cloud Player
update in the app store. If you don't want to update for whatever
reason, you will still be abel to access all of the usual parts of the
app.

Regards,
Wayne Merritt

Wayne,
Thanks for the heads-up! I personally love buying my music from
Amazon. Like you, I have bought lots of music over the years. I am
happy to see this player getting better and more accessible. Thanks!

Re: Updates to Amazon's Cloud Player app

2012-08-06 Thread Kyle Seitz
I love the cloud player app, but I can't for the life of me figure out how
to import music to the player on the pc side. If I click import music from
the main player page, nothing happens. If I could figure out how to import
music, I might go ahead and upgrade to the premium service which allows one
to import up to 250 thousand songs.

You and the rest of the blind community. Please call them at 1-866-216-1072
and try to get them to help you resolve this. Maybe if they hear from
enough of us they will get the hint. This smells like a law suit waiting to

Best recommendation make the call then go find another company that gives a
damn about there customers access to software. Amazon certainly does not.
