Hi Todd, the guitar by ear lessons by Bill Brown which you can get from your NLS Library or online have great guitar lessons. He dictates the lessons and you learn to play them. He also share samples and place the lesson for you so you can hear it. Good luck and God bless, Wren Langley PS I know this is not used with the iPhone, but I think you would find them very beneficial and instructive. Re: VO Friendly Guitar Lessons/Tutorials
If you are using the bard app, when you go to the get books tab, double tap on browse bard, then go down to the music section and double tap. Then to the search the collection field. If you want to see all the guitar materials, just search for guitar. There are books by other people than just Bill Brown. Or just search for Bill Brown but you will find banjo, bass, and guitar and other lessons that way. There are quite a few. I believe all these guys with the exception of Ivan González has their own guitar playing/learning website, but again, they’re going to be in Spanish. I’ll often throw these videos to my Apple TV via my phone for better sound and picture in case I might need my sighted wife to tell me where a certain finger placement or sequence is if I can’t figure it out on my own. Re: VO Friendly Guitar Lessons/Tutorials
Hi guys, Just curious, does Bill Brown do more advanced lessons than just beginner ones, or do the other books offer those also? I'd check myself, but my niece has my iPad, and they live about an hour away. Thanks. Re: VO Friendly Guitar Lessons/Tutorials
Mucho gracias. Now that I have used up most of my Spanish vocabulary, thanks for answering. I'll do some research too and if I find English speaking teachers, I'll pass that along as well. Happy picking, Richard On Mar 31, 2015, at 3:10 PM, Cristóbal crismuno...@gmail.com wrote: Sure. Doubt that it’ll help the English speaking bunch since I learned the guitar and all its subsequent terms in Spanish (do, re, mi, cejilla, traste, etc.). But for those who speak Spanish, the channels I do subscribe to are: guitarraviva, albertguitar100, Ivan González and cristianvid. All of them offer full guitar tutorials. Albrt100 is more focused towards the flamenco and classical/instrumental aspect of playing. Whereas the other three do everything individual song tutorials, chords, rhythms, etc. Indeed Albert100 offers the same lessons he does in Spanish in English, but well…his English language accent is a bit on the rough side and it would probably be a challenge for someone to follow along. He’s the one I’m partial too. I’ve picked up some good Beethoven and Tárrega pieces via his instruction.
