RE: Voicemail Problems
I do have visual voice mail on my iPhone 6s plus, but I am not having anny issues as well. Perhaps this is an issue limitted to newer phones? Chip -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Sieghard Weitzel Sent: Monday, October 16, 2017 11:19 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Voicemail Problems I don't have visual voice mail, either, and don't have any issues on my 6S Plus. When I double tap on the voice mail tab it used to directly dial in/connect, now there is a button on the screen that says "Call Voice Mail". After I double tap it, I am connected to my voice mail system and from here on it's just like a phone call. If I move the phone away from my ear it switches to speaker, if I have a voice mail I dial 1 to listen to it, I think it's 7 to delete it afterwards etc. When I'm done I just do a two-finger double tap to hang up the call, I am now back still on the voice mail tab with the "Call Voice Mail" button on the screen and I can then go back to my Favourites, Recents, Contacts or Keypad tab. If you see transcription of voice mail and something that looks like an Inbox with your messages/voice mails listed then you have visual voice mail and since I usually pick up my phone and maybe get a voice mail once a month I don't bother paying the $2/month extra which my current provider charges for visual voice mail. RE: Voicemail Problems
Hello Gary, After reading your post, I tested visual voicemail with iOS 11.03, complete with text transcription, on an iPhone 6 S Plus, and did not have any trouble getting back to my voicemail Inbox or to any other area of the phone. Yes, I am using VoiceOver. What I did find, however, is that, unlike in previous versions of iOS, when a voicemail item is played, it expands and takes up a great deal of the screen. VoiceOver swiping gestures can prove to be ineffective until the user collapses the currently selected voicemail item. So, when you are done listening to the voicemail message, simply single-finger, double-tap on any non-button area of the display in order to collapse the item and return to your normal voicemail Inbox. It may be, however, that the behavior you are experiencing is limited to the 7 series. I just don't know but give my suggestion a try and see how it works for you. Re: Voicemail Problems
Yes, I've had this same issue on an iPHONE 7. No one else had seen the behavior when I reported it several weeks back. So far I haven’t done anything about reporting it, but I will now I know it’s not just me. Re: Voicemail Problems
I am having this exact same problem. I need to hit the home button several times to get back to the home screen and then the phone starts working properly again. When I go back into the voicemail scream, I am still unable to hear the voice mail and the phone locks up. Voicemail Problems
Hi Everyone, We are using an i phone 7 with ios 11.03. Every time we get a voicemail, we can play the voicemail, but after that the phone locks up. We can push the home button to go to the home screen and even though the home screen is visible the focus is still in voicemail. Voiceover keeps trying to read the text version of the voicemail. We have to shut the phone down in order to clear things and be able to use the phone again. We talked with Apple accessibility and they recommended resetting all settings. They said if anyone else is having a problem with voicemail to let them know. Just curious is anyone on the list having the problem or something similar, and if so what did you do about it? Thanks for any feedback on this. Nancy and Gary Sent from my iPhone -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
