Re: Volume keeps Being Reset To Zero

2020-10-20 Thread Wayne Merritt
I just noticed this on my new iPhone 11 running iOS 14.0.1. My alarm
seemed quieter than normal this morning in the stock Clock app. When I
looked in the Sound settings I noticed the ringer and alert volume was
at 0%. We'll see what happens tomorrow morning after the adjustment I
made.

Be well,
Wayne Merritt

Re: Volume keeps Being Reset To Zero

2020-10-09 Thread Tom Lange
Yes, please report this to Apple Support. Call them, send them an
e-mail, do whatever you have to do. This is a huge issue that's being
experienced by a lot of people out there, as evidenced by a thread
posted at the following link.
https://www.iphonetricks.org/how-to-fix-ios-14-mutes-ringer-and-alerts-bug/

I called Apple Support, worked with someone and generated a case
number, which is:
101203846159.

If you call support, you may want to reference that case number and
have the support engineer look that the forum thread whose link I
posted above.

Don't be shy about this; report it to Apple and keep nagging them to
get this issue resolved. It's a huge bug that they need to fix right
away. Go after 'em and give 'em hell!

Yep.
I can confirm this bug.
I have change volume with volume buttons set to off and I manually change
volume to 50%.
However, suddenly it automatically set itself to 0%.
I have performed a factory reset of my XR but it did not solve this issue.
So, this is actually a bug.
This is a bit annoying, so I hope it will be fixed in the next update of iOS 14.

Re: Volume keeps Being Reset To Zero

2020-10-08 Thread Øyvind Lode
Yep.
I can confirm this bug.
I have change volume with volume buttons set to off and I manually
change volume to 50%.

2020-10-08 Thread Jeffrey Shockley
Hello,
Try changing the setting in sound settings for adjusting the volume for the
ringtone when the volume key is pushed. You want to turn it off. Then, set the
ringtone volume to what you want to.
I hope this helps,
Jeffrey

Volume keeps Being Reset To Zero

2020-10-08 Thread Tom Lange
Hi
I have a really annoying issue with my iPhone 8 running IOS 14.0.1. The master
volume keeps getting reset to 0. VO volume stays where I set it, but I can’t
hear the ringer or alarms when this happens. Change with buttons is turned off.
Has anybody out there had this issue with IOS 14? Any ideas?
Thanks.
Tom
