RE: What happens if you try downloading a BARD book to an i-device?
Hi, A BARD book is a book from the National Library Service here in the United States. They are DRM encrypted so they can only play on authorized players which is why there is no way to play them on an iDevice until the National Library Service creates a way for that to happen. Re: What happens if you try downloading a BARD book to an i-device? I just did it
I downloaded the book; it took quite a while even though I was using the same wifi connection I use to download to my computer but it did download. I was presented with a screen asking me where to open it and I chose the default which was filer. I was then able to plug my phone into the computer and in iTunes transfer the file to my computer. Also in iTunes, I then deleted the file from my phone. But so far I haven't thought of a way to send the file directly to a player that could read it. Maybe if you had a reader with wifi capability you could do it. If you could connect an sd card reader to an iPhone or iPad, you could also do that but I think the only thing like that is just for photos and videos for the iPad. Anyway, now I know it is possible to download the file and transfer it and delete it. -- Cheryl May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
