RE: Whatsapp question
HI Marilyn, Try this: 1. Tap Settings > Privacy. 2. Tap Default message timer. 3. Select 24 hours, 7 days, 90 days, or Off. 4. If you want to apply the timer to existing chats, tap "by selecting them" and then tap the chats. Turn on disappearing messages in a specific chat Anyone can turn on disappearing messages in an individual chat. Once turned on, new messages in the chat will disappear after the duration you select. 1. Open a chat. 2. Tap the contact’s name. 3. Tap Disappearing messages. • If prompted, tap Continue. 4. Select 24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days under Message timer. Hope that helps! -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of marilyn Sent: Monday, June 17, 2024 4:03 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Whatsapp question Hello Ignacio, Thanks for your suggestions. Re: Whatsapp question
To my understanding, you have to do it individually on each message. I am not aware of a general setting for all the chats. This doesn’t mean that there’s not one, I just have not seen it. Like I said, if you tap on the image or the persons name participating on the chat, You can get to the setting by swiping all the way down to the disappearing messages and then turn it off. Re: A WhatsApp question about voice messaging
Hi, If you double tap and hold very briefly then slide your finger then the phone will vibrate a little bit and then you will hear the tri tones and then you can speak your message without holding your finger down. When you are done, touch anywhere on the screen to send your message. It takes practice. Have a blessed day! RE: A WhatsApp question about voice messaging
That's how you sent voice messages in What's App. I guess the only alternative would be to record with another app which saves the file as an MP3, then you would attach this file and send it via What's App as an attachment, but That of course may defeat the purpose. There is no way to change anything in What's App to do what you want, it's meant to be easy and quick, you push/hold to talk, as soon as you let go the message is sent and that is that. Once the message is sent you can listen to it, I guess if you didn't like the way it sounded you could send another, but you can't first review as you can with iMessages. Whatsapp question on contacts and Serie
Good Afternoon, I have a question about Sirie recognizing my Whatsapp contacts. The first time I used Siri to send a message, I simply said to Whatsapp and the person's name. It worked great. I sent the message and off it went. Now when I say Whatsapp and the person's name, Sirie replies that Whatsapp doesn't show that contact when it is clearly there. How can I get Siri to recognize my Whatsapp contacts again? Thanks. Vicki -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
