Re: Where is repair iOs?

2014-03-28 Thread David Chittenden
Sorry, I am working from memory. Restore and repair iOS are essentially the
same process. iTunes gets the latest version of iOS from Apple and installs it
onto the iOS device. Back when I used a Windows machine four years ago, I
believe the option was restore / repair.

Re: Where is repair iOs?

2014-03-28 Thread Alan Paganelli
First try holding down the power button and the home button for 20 seconds.
It will reset your phone with out deleting any of your settings. My iPhone
4 was acting wird and somebody told me to try this. I did and it fixed the
problem.

Alan

Because I am still having issues with the native Messages app on my iPhone,
I want to repair iOs, and was directed to look for it in the Summary radio
button of iTunes after connecting, syncing, and backing up my phone. I only
see "restore iPhone" with no other apparent options. I suspect this is not
the same thing, as I have done this before, and there has never been an
option to run a repair, which is what I need. Help would be appreciated.
