come down there, bonk you on the head and see if things are better after you

For me this issue is a constant when I use Eloquence. For example, I can read
only about three pages in a Kindle book before speech stops. Pretty much any
news article I read or other content of more then a few paragraphs has the same
happen.

If I don't use Eloquence, the problem of speech stopping goes away.

I have not noticed a change. There have been times for many versions when
something in an article or web page stops VO.
Could you maybe give one or two links that demonstrate this behavior.
It has not happened often enough for me to be bothered by it, but if it is

Hi Mary,

I don't know if this is possible but, is it possible to tell Voiceover to
ignore graphics? If this is possible just maybe it'll smooth out the
reading experience.

It happens for me with Alex, which is my default voice for English. I’ve
seen it on webpages. It seems to be caused by some graphic getting in the
way, a graphic that would normally just be blown away and let’s move on. If
I compare 15.2 or whatever it is on my old phone with Alex, and 16.2 with
Alex, the reading is much better with 15.2 on a slower phone. I don’t have
any specific links right now.

Re: With iOS 16.2, continuous reading in emails or webpages is awful.

2023-01-05 Thread Kelly Ford
For me this issue is a constant when I use Eloquence. For example, I can read
only about three pages in a Kindle book before speech stops. Pretty much any
news article I read or other content of more then a few paragraphs has the same
happen.

If I don't use Eloquence, the problem of speech stopping goes away.

I have not noticed a change. There have been times for many versions when
something in an article or web page stops VO.
Could you maybe give one or two links that demonstrate this behavior.
It has not happened often enough for me to be bothered by it, but if it is
happening a lot; I would also send example links to Apple of course.

Re: With iOS 16.2, continuous reading in emails or webpages is awful.

2023-01-05 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
I have not had this issue with my 13 pro max. I am also updated to 16.2.

2023-01-04 Thread Mary Otten
Ever since upgrading to iOS 16, I have noticed that continuous reading, invoked
with the two finger swipe down, is really bad. I used to be able to read hugely
long articles, but now it stops all the time. It seems to be triggered by
stupid punctuation things like bullets, as if I care. Does anybody else notice
this serious degradation in the ability to just read an article without all the
nonsense stop and start. The point of continuous reading is, well, continuous
reading. I have noticed this on an iPad mini six and my iPhone X r. It’s really
seriously annoying.
