I think the reason it will be discontinued is because apple bought dark sky 
and intigrated a lot of  the   functions of dark sky into the native apple 
weather ap.  I am not sure when it started  since I went from a 6+ to a 14 
pro moddle but, the weather ap now does have weather warnings  notifications 
now if you set the m up I learnd of them in the latest applevis news letter 
that ritchard posted a while back.

My regular Apple weather does too. 

The other day, all of a sudden, my phone made this mighty noise, and it was a 
flood warning in our area. With the coming of Hurricane Ian, I put it in the 
desk drawer of my computer desk, farthest room from my bedroom, when I went to 
bed that night.

Agree! It has everything I ever wanted in a Weather app; the thing left, though, and I'm hoping they'll include someday, is to quickly switch between F and Celcius, like you can with Google. I never cared for Weather Gods. I tried it. I never understood why it was so 
dang popular. Smile. The weather app from Apple and iOS 16 apparently has taken 
a lot of the things from dark sky and is now quite good. I just read an article 
about it. Since I have not updated to 16 yet, I cannot comment from personal 
experience, but that’s where I’m going. Otherwise, I like WeatherOffice, 
because it is simple. And it gives you nice little summaries like you used to 
get on the radio news, for anybody old enough to remember that.
