Re: facetime on iphone 5

2014-06-27 Thread Bill Gallik
And there is yet a third way to open a Facetime call; simply locate the
Facetime app on your (probably) home screen and launch it in the usual way.
Facetime has only three tabs -- Favorites, Recents and Contacts; these are
similar as corresponding tabs in the "Phone" app.

Hi, there are two ways. Go into your contacts and if someone has an iPhone
for until you find FaceTime audio call double tap that and it will open the
FaceTime session and call there is also a FaceTime video. Also you can use
Siri and say something like face time then the name of the person and then
iPhone and it will do it for you. It opens up a FaceTime audio session and
calls the person. God bless, Wren Langley

FaceTime audio uses either wifi or cellular data exclusively for the
calls. Also calls can only be placed from and to other Apple devices
registered with FaceTime. Regular calls are placed over the GSM network
and can be placed to both Apple and non Apple devices.

Re: facetime on iphone 5

2014-06-27 Thread 'David Goldfield' via VIPhone
If my memory is correct, I think that, if you tell siri "facetime John
smith" it will do a video call. When I want to call my brother in audio
only mode, I tell Siri "facetime audio my brother" and it does an audio
call. This can be important as it will take less data to make an audio
call. Also, depending on where you are, who you're calling and what
outfit you have on making a video call might not be the best choice.
