just remember to close all apps, that are running in your app switcher, and
you will find that will save you a lot of power, and also, don't have
vibration turned on, if you don't really need it.

believe me, this works!

Ps. if you have no sight put your screen curtain on and turn down your
brightness down to Zero.

I wouldn't worry about that. The reason being that what this is
telling you is that you are probably not using any other apps much. It
isn't telling you that home is draining your battery. Besides, I don't
think you can turn this off.

When looking through the privacy settings, for each app listed, there is a
choice between "never" and "always". Yet, some are set to "only while
using". This choice would be handy for a lot of apps, but the only two
choices I see are "always" and "never". Can someone let me know where the
third option is? Thanks.

Hi Charles,

Yes, Home was always there since iOS 7 was released. 40% is fairly high, I
just checked mine and over the last 24 hours my home screen used up 11%. You
might want to check things like screen brightness and system services under
Privacy, Location Services. Make sure you turn things like cell search and
automatic time zone off. For a fairly extensive list of battery tricks you
should listen to the most recent Today in iOS podcast. Also handoff and
recommended apps will drain battery.

I wouldn't worry about that. The reason being that what this is
telling you is that you are probably not using any other apps much. It
isn't telling you that home is draining your battery. Besides, I don't
think you can turn this off.

I wouldn't worry about that. The reason being that what this is
telling you is that you are probably not using any other apps much. It
isn't telling you that home is draining your battery. Besides, I don't
think you can turn this off.
