RE: initiating a video recording?

2023-04-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
I probably set this up at some point in the past and called it "Emergency
Video" instead of "In case of emergency" which seems to be what it is called in
shortcuts.

, here is a bit about how to find it and below this I am including the link to
the full article:

Featured snippet from the web

How to set up the In Case of Emergency shortcut on an iPhone

Tap your Shortcuts app to open it.

A menu of your existing shortcuts will appear. ...

Swipe through the top banner until you see "Shortcuts for Accessibility," then
tap on it. ...

Select "In Case of Emergency." ...

On the intro page, scroll down and tap "Add Shortcut."

Keep in mind that this shortcut will also text a person of your choice, but I
assume this is something you can possibly remove or simply put in your own
phone number or a landline which can't receive text messages if you don't want
this. Hwere is the full article, if you do a Google search for "In case of
emergency iOS shortcut" you find a lot of articles about it and I believe there
are other shortcuts like it, one is called "I am getting pulled over":

RE: initiating a video recording?

2023-04-18 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
If I open the Shortcuts app, there are 3 tabs at the bottom, "Shortcuts",
"Autonation" and "Gallery"
If I put focus on the Shortcuts tab I have a lot of shortcuts there, I can't
remember if maybe at one point I added them from the Gallery, so if you don't
have anything there just check in the Gallery.

Shortcuts is your friend. There is a preset one called "Emergency Video", but
by default it sends a message to your contacts which says "I am getting pulled
over" so you might want to change the shortcut so it doesn't do this. Otherwise
if set up correctly you can just say "Emergency Video" to Siri and it will
start recording.

Hi,

Using an iphone 14 Pro, with the latest update, I want to be able to start
a video recording session, quickly. preferably, with one gesture, regardless of
what else I am doing on my phone. Perhaps, a Siri shortcut? I don't want to use
the back-tap gesture, as this triggers too easily by mistake. If anyone can
help with suggestions, I would be very grateful!

Thanks, Sandy and Zyon the shrew teaser.
