Hi,

Some apps can't be used in split screen. I'm not sure which ones, though. I
think Settings is one.

Best,
Anna

Another Split Screen Question, Was Re: Two Apps On The Same IPad Screen?

2020-01-30 Thread Arnold Schmidt
Can any two apps be used in split screen mode, or only certain ones? My friend
said he tried to use two apps, I do not know which ones, that wouldn't work in
split screen, only in over lay. Thanks in advance for any information.

Re: Two Apps On The Same IPad Screen?

2020-01-28 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi Arnold,

Yes, you can have two apps on an iPad screen. The second app you want to open
needs to be in the dock. when the first one is open, touch near the bottom of
the iPad screen and slide your finger up until you hear a click. Then slide it
back down and then lift your finger. When you find the app on the dock that you
want to open, flick up or down. You have the option to open the second app in
split view or slide over. With split view, each app takes up part of the
screen. with slide over, the second app floats on top of the first. I find
split view more reliable. There's a line between the two apps. You can flick up
and down for options to control how much of the screen each one takes.

applevis did a great podcast on this in September; I recommend that you check
it out for more details.

Best,
Anna
