Thank you, Dan. I want to try this.

If you go into settings, multitasking and doc, and multitasking then you can
turn off all the options in there and the split view/slide features are
completely turned off.

After doing this and checking some apps it turns out that some of the
difficulties I have been having were because of this feature. I was apparently
activating apps without intending to.

Thanks.

I got it partly turned off using some instructions I found by googling but some
apps still go into split view when I open them.

Can I turn it off completely?

Thanks,

Re: split view on iPad Air II

2015-11-20 Thread Alan Paganelli
I'v had my iPad air for awhile so my memory may be wrong here but I think I
remember you can turn split screen mode on or off in settings. I like it
because the list of messages is on the left and the text of the body of the
message is on the right. I can read the list of message subject lines and
decide if I'm interested in the topic. If not, I flick up with one finger and
delete the thread. Let us know if you find it.

split view on iPad Air II

2015-11-19 Thread denise avant
Hello all,
I have an iPad Air II, and am trying to invoke the split screen mode. As I
understand it, you have to tap the status bar, and swipe to the left while in
an app supporting the feature. I assume that notes would be one of the
supported apps. In any case, once you swipe left, you should see a list of
supported apps. However, I do not find any such list. Can anyone tell me what I
may have missed. I am of course running IOS 9. Thanks.
