[Vo]:air turbine
Vortexians; For Leaking Pen, and anyone else who missed it. I sent the following to Hal Puthoff. I assume that you've heard of Viktor Schauberger and his Respine. These people claim to have replicated it http://www.airturbineengine.com/ . I'd sure like to witness it's operation. My nephew laughed at their claims, and by extension me, for believing in the veracity of their claims. After all, any engineer knows that this is impossible. I have previously mentioned Otto Schmitt's test for energy production, heating water. I'll keep you posted. --- Get FREE High Speed Internet from USFamily.Net! -- http://www.usfamily.net/mkt-freepromo.html ---
Re: [Vo]:air turbine
Howdy Thomas, Notice the Rockwell turbine company is registered in Las Vegas, Nevada. I haven't been able to sell a single share of their stock to the drunks at the Dime Box Saloon, I got an inside man at Goldie Socks that claims the stock will skyrocket as soon as they get the check in for 880 bil from uncle sugar. The straight skinny coming from hank the swank paulsie is the check is in the mail. Down here in Texas it's got so bad that people turn up their noses at the saloon's free lunch of possum and sweet potatos. The bank robbers call in robberies on their cell phones and have Fed Ex pick up the package, the politicians are actually starting to believe what they say, and the illegals are hitchhiking to Mexico to find jobs. I can't stand too much more of this prosperity so send me some bad news quick. Re: [Vo]:Black Holes from Newtonian Gravity?
2008/10/5 Robin van Spaandonk [EMAIL PROTECTED]: In reply to Michel Jullian's message of Sat, 4 Oct 2008 08:12:26 +0200: Hi, [snip] As I recall, those jets are satisfactorily explained without resorting to matter creation. The jets' matter comes from the internal edge of the accretion disk orbiting around the BH and failing to fall into it (slingshot effect I believe) Michel That seems a little odd to me. Why would it all be axial? I would expect at least some mass (if not all of it) subject to a slingshot effect to remain in the plane of the accretion disk. Good point. I did do some research work on these collimated polar plasma jets in the early 80's at Jodrell Bank (radioastronomy observatory of Manchester U. UK), but it only consisted in modeling them after birth: finding how they evolved after ejection, and what they should look like from afar, accounting for all kinds of thermodynamic, relativistic and cosmologic effects. I don't really remember the formation mechanism which was proposed at the time, plus a better one may well have been found since. I see there is a wikipedia article, with links to preprints, you may have better luck there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relativistic_jet Michel
[Vo]:Hybrid eCycle great company
http://www.hybrid-vehicles.net/ecycle-hybrid-motorcycles.htm This company - eCycle is a fabulous new up-and-coming company. That assessment is based on looking at their product line and technology. I have no idea if they are making money or not, or if the stock is worth investing-in. http://ecycle.com/index.html Based on their potential of where they are now and what is on the horizon - I think of them as a possible candidate for the new Honda of the 21st Century ... even though the old-Honda will probably have a thing or two to say about that. In fact if the old-Honda is smart, they will buy these guys out now before they can steal way too much market share. eCycle is located in Temple PA, and has has made their reputation recently in developing a line of unique low voltage brushless motors and generators - somewhat reminiscent of the CSIRO design which is almost 99% efficient in converting electrical current into torque (at least at its preferred rotational speed). For decades, brushless motors have been recognized as an advanced technology that converts power more efficiently and more reliably than conventional motors. eCycle has focused its efforts on producing efficient, commercially viable brushless motors and generators and the related electronics, in the 1-10kW performance range. [the weak point of 'brushless' previously (pre-2002) had been in the switching electronics - i.e. the silicon] Unlike other brushless motors, eCycle's SolidSlot™ operates at low voltages (12-36VDC) and high current (up to 450A). A combination of characteristics make eCycle's product ideal for mobile applications: efficiency, ruggedness, power density and attractive cost factor, particularly when reliability and minimization of maintenance are important. Jones BTW - This page seems to be the key to the success of this motor's silicon design: http://ecycle.com/Twostage.html
[Vo]:Alternative explanation for bugs on Mars
The following NASA information casts some doubt about the nature of the bugs on Mars. The substrate for the Sol 123 photos in question is magnetic. The orange rocks are magnetic. The bugs legs may be magnetic dust attracted in filament form. I don't know what would explain the spade like tails that stick up occasionally though. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/phoenix/images/press/ StrongMagPart.html http://tinyurl.com/3gsp6b Background information: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stunning animated life on mars - in color no less: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hortonheardawho/2899678725/sizes/o/ http://tinyurl.com/3oqhvk Source of the above color information is composited from NASA Phoenix Sol 123 photos by hortonheardawho in this blog: http://www.marsroverblog.com/dyn/entry/70561/discussion_page/381 http://tinyurl.com/4csbhh If you look carefully you can see the little moving brown/orange things appear to have very thin straight short legs or protrusions on their sides located low and almost horizontally. A couple of them momentarily show spade tipped protrusions, maybe tails or probosci? If you use full screen mode you can see the same features in the looped movie I made from other NASA photos and which is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O68Xop-WpM http://tinyurl.com/4qzcl8 The above movie was made from NASA Sol 112 photos, at rotational position 6134 however. [Vo]:The E8 ToE
Attention Hitchhikers (42 alert): This is not new-news, as it was written up months ago in Wired: http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2008/02/ted_lisi But what is new is that more-and-more very sharp folks - the creme-de-la-creme of theoretical fizzix, are taking as serious look, and saying that a new ToE (Theory of Everything) is holding up surprisingly well to close scrutiny, despite the author's somewhat flippant demeanor and preference for surfing (the ocean variety). It could evolve into ... well... 42 ?? The basics: The universe is 8 dimensional, or more depending on who is reinterpreting. It is of a geometry called a Gosset E8 discovered 108 years ago by Gosset: On the Regular and Semi-Regular Figures in Space of n Dimensions, Messenger of Mathematics, Macmillan, 1900. Thorold Gosset was an eccentric English lawyer and who liked mathematics. Apparently, Gosset thought it 8 dimensional Unfortunately, it is the most complex of the 8-space geometries aka 4sub21. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8-polytope The E8 of Gosset was then outfitted with all of the forces of nature by an eccentric American surfer dude named Lisi. And it was elegant which is a real turn-on to the theoretician. It is now advanced from its original geometric (NeoPlatonic) mysticism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antony_Garrett_Lisi in An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything which itself borrows heavily from the work of others. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_Exceptionally_Simple_Theory_of_Everything Chances are, we will be hearing a lot more of this, as it evolves and gets brought down to earth; and it is very possible that it will tell us something about the aether, and perhaps even point the way that it can be engineered for gainfulness. There is little doubt in my mind that with all dimensions, it is somewhere. In fact the AWT (aether wave theory) is based on the same E8. As you may have guessed the Exceptionally Simple part is a Lie (to understand this pun, you will have to do some goggling). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie_algebra Jones
