I really don't have a strong judgment of your general theories, particularly when you are attempting to explain observed phenomena with some level of serious credibility behind them. This incident could indeed be an attempt to feed your theories back to you, through a pretend confirmation. It's a possible explanation. It would be an extraordinary coincidence that such a major confirmation -- doing something that you haven't done -- would be accomplished by some wing nut. Yes, one has to have some, shall we say, ego strength, to buck the alleged scientific consensus, so we expect people on the fringe to be a bit unraveled, so to speak. However, that only goes so far. Serious researchers on the fringe are only particularly fringe as to what they investigate, not as to the techniques used. Mmmm maybe we are missing out on something here! Hi Francis, Lucky Saint is, in my opinion, the same person who posts on vortex and elsewhere under a dozen or more pseudonyms, including Chen, phen, chan, Puppy, Lucky, ny@aol.com, d...@inbox.lv, Mint, quickly.. and now mole4l...@gmail.com. add them to your kill file.. or read it for entertainment. We don't have any clear independent confirmation for those latter devices, but the claims, first of all, are not quite so extreme. There is circumstantial evidence that *something* is happening and the likely delays are due to unreliability, not total deceptions. Yeah, there is a similarity, but heat from NiH has long been reported. It's also never been truly clearly and openly confirmed. It's somewhat like the status of cold fusion, before heat/helium was found, though my impression is that there was more circumstantial evidence for cold fusion back then, and there were wider reports. But with NiH, we have no evidence adequate to establish the ash. It might turn out to be difficult. It is the known and heat-correlated ash from PdD cold fusion that makes the reality of it a scientific certainty. It's still difficult to reliably demonstrate. My opinion is that if Rossi or Defkalion really have *anything*, they should sell demonstration devices. Essentially toys. And they should patent them as such, with energy generation as an additional claim. This is along the lines of the popper kit that was promised and that apparently has never worked. If it had worked, if it had shown real energy release, that would be the kind of demonstration that would break the Papp field open. The same would be true for NiH devices. Make them cheap and sell them! Small is beautiful. But Rossi wants to go for megawatt plants. He can't make a megawatt plant if he can't make a kilowatt, or, for that matter, 100 watts. 10 watts. In any case, I'm not ready to toss Rossi in the same can as this magic penny guy. But, Brad, you have a point. Look, Brillouin is at SRI, setting up to run tests with expert support. We may see something soon. PdD is definitely real, but highly unreliable, still. And expensive even if it works. NiH is nowhere near as solidly established, but is very attractive because of far cheaper materials, and because of some interesting research history, from lots of people. So there is lots of reason to encourage efforts to replicate prior work with NiH, or to explore it more thoroughly. There is no reason to do that with the magic penny.

Lucky Saint is supporting the same theory that I favor of a zero point basis for these anomalies. The milling is done with inert gas to prevent melt down and allow even tighter geometry formation of the powders. The premise is these geometries self destruct even with only ambient gases much less hydrogen and you will note how he transfers the sealed powder from glove box to being submerged in water - a heat sink that prevents some of the geometry from self destructing. Sort of borrowing from Lyne - Moller theory for geometry/powder and the immediate heat sinking is an insightful addition to systems already employed by Rossi and Mills I would call it a long shot but still possible!
