Re: [Vo]:what is the use of twitter

Re: [Vo]:what is the use of twitter
Twitter is broadcast texting using an intermediary server to relay your cell phone text messages. It's limited to 140 characters per message, or SMS (short message service) because it uses the data channel your cell phone uses for signalling. Although, due to 3G and now 4th Generation cell service, you will see Twitter services expanding. BTW, you can email text messages to a cell phone from your PC with the 140 character limitation. The method varies with each cell phone carrier. Terry On Mon, Sep 7, 2009 at 5:40 PM, wrote: > I have been invited by some cold fusion scientists to join them on Twitter. > > Why twitter? You really have to try it to see the difference. For instance, Kirsty Alley, the actress, has several thousand followers on Twitter, but if you respond to one of her tweets, she'll probably respond back. You couldn't carry that kind of an audience with email. Craig (Houston)
