[FS] G4 933 Quicksilver 2002
Hi It's time for an upgrade for me so I'm offering for sale my G4 933 MHz Quicksilver 2002. The machine remains under warranty to April, 2005 and this model is one of the last to be OS 9 bootable. Includes the original Software CD set. The machine has been ultra reliable for me and is currently running as dual boot with OS X 10.3.6 and Yellowdog Linux v.3. To save your time in looking up the model specifications, the following are its main standard features: - 56K on-chip L2 cache running at processor speed - 2MB DDR SDRAM L3 cache - 133-MHz system bus - three DIMM slots supporting up to 1.5GB of PC133 SDRAM - 60GB 7200-rpm Ultra ATA HD - SuperDrive (combination DVD-R/CD-RW drive) - three 3.5-inch hard drive expansion bays - support for up to three internal SCSI drives - NVIDIA GeForce4 MX graphics card with 64MB of DDR SDRAM and ADC and VGA connectors (runs 2 monitors); supports digital and analog resolutions up to 1920 by 1200 pixels - four PCI slots - two FireWire ports and four USB ports - gigabit Ethernet - internal modem Besides its normal features listed above, I have upgraded the Ram to 1.25 GB, added a second hard drive (Western Digital 80 GB 7200-rpm with 8 MB cache) and added a 2 port USB PCI card. Depending on OS and software configuration, I need to realise about $2200 from this sale. Evening phone: 9291 3162 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (I access this account during business hours). Re: strange Safari behaviour
Rats! I was too hasty. The problem has returned. Some URLs (eg BankWest and VersionTracker, but NOT the ABC) require a second try. I am not inserting DNS numbers. Vlad James On 06/11/04 I wrote: Where I previously clicked on the URL, saw the address in the Safari window, but received the message that Safari could not find the server, then had to use the return key before being able to enter the site... ...with the 10.3.6 Update, I have had no problems of this type so far. - On 07/11/2004, at 2:26 PM, Greg Sharp wrote: I also have found the problem still exits when I visited Version Tracker using Safari. Canon (low end) Printers
Anyone had any experience with Canon BJ printers lately?I have an i455 and very happy with it. Now need another to replace the very slow SP200x. Notice that OW don't have the 455, nor I suppose do Hardly Normals. Any opinions? Bill

eMac for sale - extremely cheap !!!
I have a eMac for sale - 800Mhz G4, 60Gb, 512Mb RAM and a Superdrive (DVD burner) With all original CDROM's plus 10.3 Updater, keyboard and mouse. The only problem is that there is a problem with the analog board. The screen sometimes is OK, other times it shrinks, moves and is unstable. Apple quote a figure to replace that is not viable to do so... Accordingly I am either going to sell as, is or pull it apart and sell bits on eBay (I presume). It is therefore offered here to the best offer but if no one is interested, I will pull it apart. Why would you want to buy it ? - Well, if you use the $45 Apple adapter, you could plug in a standard monitor and it would be perfectly usable (just not a all in one anymore !) The main display would mirror to the other monitor but without the defects... If you are knowledgable, you may be able to repair it... Alternatively, you could use it as a cheap server... The mind boggles but as it is now a spare anyway, I don't need it now ! Please feel free to email me off list ! Mark PS. I am in Bunbury - delivery may be possible in the SW but Perth would depend on when I am up next...

Re: Hunting the Snark - a bit off topic
Oddly enough I did actually buy that CD a long time ago. Not a bad synergy of electric guitar, rock singers and a full orchestra blended with that typically odd Lewis Carroll work. The track Children of the Sky I particularly enjoy. :-) Slightly off-topic indeed! -Mart -- Martin Hill mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] homepages: http://mart.ozmac.com Mb: 0417-967-969 hm: (08)9314-5242 From: Mervyn Giuliana Bond [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Mon, 08 Nov 2004 17:02:19 +0800 To: WAMUG Mailing List wamug@wamug.org.au Subject: Hunting the Snark - a bit off topic With the high level of interest in iPods and music I am hoping that some one has a copy of: Batt The Hunting of the Snark - Sir John Gielgud, John Hurt, n; London Symphony Orchestra / Mike Batt Adventure Records CD Snark 1 56'; which is still in good repair and would like to sell it. (Forcing?) Permissions on Web Server
A PC here in the office uploads (FTPs) a webcam image to an OS X machine (webserver) with -rw-r- permissions. This image can't be seen when used in a HTML document. I can do a chmod o+r image.jpg but this only lasts until the next upload! Is there anyway to force the permissions seeing that I can't change the way the PC FTPs the image? Firefox Safari Double-Punch
Hi, I have a problem with my web browsers Almost every 2nd or 3rd site I visit re-directs me to a website which identifies itself as: www.ultimatesearch.com The strange this is this is affecting both Firefox and Safari. I have reset Safari and cleared out the cache. No luck Google offers no help on this problem, I would like to know if anybody out there has had this problem and if so what did you do to fix the problem. Thanks ;) Brock
Re: (Forcing?) Permissions on Web Server
It may also be worthwhile looking up info on Apple's site about Folder Action Scripts . This should allow for an action where all files uploaded to that folder automatically have their permissions changed to whatever you need. I haven't used this method but others on my servers mail list have and say it works fine. I imagine there's a few ways you could approach this. Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith Plot Summary Script Synopsis Story by George Lucas For three years the GREAT CLONE WAR has ravaged the galaxy. Starvation and misery stalk countless worlds. Although near defeat, COUNT DOOKU and his Confederacy of Independent Systems have masterminded the capture of SUPREME CHANCELLOR PALPATINE. With the mighty Armada of the Republic behind them, Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker pursue Dooku and his sinister agents across the galaxy… EXT. ATMOSPHERE OF CORUSCANT - DAY PAN DOWN: We see a massive space battle unfolding over the city planet of Coruscant. Republic venator class star destroyers exchange fire with Separatist war ships, in the distance we see the Invisible hand flag ship of the Trade federation and current location of droid commander GENERAL GRIEVOUS and COUNT DOOKU the former Jedi master turned Sith apprentice, as well as their prisoner SUPREME CHANCELLOR PALPATINE who's alter ego is the elusive mastermind DARTH SIDIOUS. As the space battle rages on two Jedi star fighters are deployed from one of the republic cruisers. They are piloted by our stalwart heroes Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi. We see a long tracking shot where both fighters weave between enemy and friendly ships alike evading laser fire and engaging the many droid fighters which attack them. Clone ARC star fighters join the fray and the pilots exchange battle chatter with the two jedi as they engage the tri-fighter's of the federation. INT. BRIDGE OF THE INVISIBLE HAND - DAY Dooku commands a bridge full of Nemoidians pilots as they watch the battle on a large view screen. EXT. SPACE - DAY One of the Republic ships is damaged and hundreds of storm troopers are sucked out a breach in the hull and scattered into space. Obi-Wan’s star fighter is attacked by enemy droids which attach themselves to his hull and use lasers to cutaway at it. Sadly R4 his trusted astromech droid is destroyed. Anakin, proving why he is known as the best pilot in the galaxy executes an impressive maneuver, in which he uses the wing of his star fighter to scrape the enemy droids off of Obi-Wan’s ship. Obi-Wan's ship careens into the open hanger of the Invisible hand with Anakin not far behind. INT. INVISIBLE HAND HANGER - DAY As Obi-Wan's ship crashes, he springs from his cockpit in one fluent movement, his hood flying over his head and lands amidst some battle droids which he cuts down with swift Jedi aplomb. A moment later Anakin lands with R2 and the trio begin to make their way through the massive battleship. INT. BRIDGE OF THE INVISIBLE HAND- DAY Meanwhile, Dooku consults his separatist colleagues via hologram With him we see General Grievous for the first time, a menacing skeletal cyborg, who has killed many Jedi. INT. MUSTAFAR CONFERENCE ROOM - NIGHT The separatist leaders are gathered in a control room in their facility on the fire planet of Mustafar. Dooku informs them that he has come under attack and may not be able to deliver Palpatine to them. INT. BRIDGE OF THE INVISIBLE HAND – DAY Dooku concludes the discussion with his co-conspirators as one of the Nemoidian Bridge officers makes him aware of the Jedi's presence on the ship he tells General Grievous to take care of them as the wily Count ascends to the 'general's quarters' to check on the captured Chancellor whom he may or may not be aware is also Darth Sidious. INT. INVISIBLE HAND CORRIDOR - DAY Working their way through the dark corridors the Jedi and the little droid are attacked by battle droids, as a swashbuckling series of narrow escapes begin. As the other Jedi hold of the battle droids, R2 creates a distraction. Obi-Wan and Anakin begin to fight Grievous’ cadre of bodyguard droids, who wield electrified pikes which are impervious to light sabers. Overwhelmed by the Jedi killing droids, Anakin and Obi-Wan cut a hole in the floor, and escape into the bowels of the ship. INT. BOWELS OF THE SHIP - DAY The lower decks are flooding with liquid fuel. Anakin and Obi-Wan enter and are attacked by more battle droids as the fight in the murky liquid without the use of their light sabers.
