Hi Walter,

1. Show Song File Method:
• Open iTunes.
	• Locate the song in the iTunes browser either using the Purchased
Music playlist or by clicking the Library icon in the Source list
and then typing the song (or artist or album name) in the Search
field.
	• When you locate the song in the iTunes browser, click once to
select the song.
	• From the File menu, choose Show Song File or press Command-R on the
keyboard. This will reveal the file in the Finder.

or

2. Get Info Method:
• Open iTunes.
	• Locate the song in the iTunes browser either using the Purchased
Music playlist or by clicking the Library icon in the Source list and
then typing the song (or artist or album name) in the Search field.
	• When you locate the song in the iTunes browser, click once to
select the song.
	• From the File menu, choose Get Info or press Command-I on the
keyboard.
	• Click the Summary tab. The Where section indicates where the song
is stored as shown here. You can then navigate in the Finder to that
location.

Sorry .. No clues !

However , when you look under music in your User Folder
I think you are saying there is a question mark in front of the
name ! ?

Check to see what that file size is ... possibly similar size to
another song adjacent ? MB's ?

Also you could download Audion from here

That should play any song for you , getting away from iTunes to check
if the file is OK .

You will need to " browse " to find the song file .

And of course , having downloaded something you wish to keep you did
immediately

back it up . ! ? Should be able to reinstate from there .

Bob

[4Sale] iPhone

2008-04-24 Thread Christopher S

Hi All,

I need to sell one of my iPhones. Both come boxed with complete kits and are
unlocked. Here are the details:

1 x 8GB iPhone unlocked with complete Invisible shield applied
(http://www.invisibleshield.com/
smartphone/apple/iphone.php). The phone is in excellent condition though it
has been used. Comes boxed and includes all accessories. $600

1 x 16GB iPhone unlocked new in box. This phone has never been used apart
from unlocking. It's boxed and still has all protective plastic on it etc.
$750

I've used the 8gb on Optus, Vodafone & Telstra networks with prepaid SIMs. I
recommend a Telstra NextG sim though as you can utilise the EDGE network
which is much faster than GPRS. Oh and you can't use a 3 SIM as these do not
work on 3G only networks.

I can deliver it in the metro area or you can pick it up. I'll also be
listing one of them on eBay on the weekend haven¹t decided which one yet.
I thought I'd post here if anyone was interested though. If you have any
questions just send me an email.

It really is an amazing phone and so much better than anything else.

Thanks,

Chris.

iPhone

2008-04-24 Thread Peter Bull
I had to buy a new mobile phone yesterday (CDMA is being killed off)
and I got a Nokia from Craig at Communique at Carousel. He was very
knowledgeable and helpful if anyone is looking for a new phone. We
chatted briefly about the forthcoming iPhone, and the current rumour is
that it will only be available on the Crazy John's network. This
contradicts some other stories, so it will be interesting to see what
happens in June.

Re: iinet ADSL2+ VoIP Problem

2008-04-24 Thread Susan Hastings
Hi, have you actually tried phoning out on the VOIP line? There is no dial
tone, and my experience is that you need to activate a line by pressing the
green button on your phone, wait a moment or two, then dial.

If you dial, then press the green button (or whatever you are using to get
the line open), the call does not go through.

I've been using VOIP for a couple of years now. We have switched to the
Naked DSL plan, so only have a VOIP phone. Cheers, Susan.

Presets lost

2008-04-24 Thread Severin Crisp
I am finding that my presets for different papers and printers in the
Print dialog are not being preserved. Despite being set and
explicitly saved they are changed next time that I return to them.
This seems to be a relatively recent Leopard(10.5.2) phenomenon whose
onset I can not date exactly.

Has anyone else observed anything like this?
