Iphoto 7.1.5 is the latest version.
Try updating.
I have ordered several calendars this year and last year no worries.

iPhoto Photo Book Query

2008-11-24 Thread Stephen Edwards

Hi Guys

My apologies if this query has been asked before. I could not find an
references in the archives so figured I might give the email a try.

I want to get an iphoto photo book and have created one in iphoto,
but noticed that clicking the buy button re-directs me to the US Mac
site.
I have checked the Australia Mac site and cannot find any photo book
products or service.
Is this the only option available or have I missed something at the
Australian site.

A friend explained that I could save the photo book from iPhoto as a
pdf and then get it printed at an Australian web site or Officeworks.
Has anyone had experience in doing this as I would prefer to not lose
any quality in doing this.

Any relevant advice and hyperlinks would be greatly appreciated.
Running Mac OS X 10.4 and iPhoto 6.

Thanks in advance.

will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday, 7th December 2008 in the

locate the venue in Google Maps:

This year we are calling for a few volunteers to help with the
preparation, as some of our committee members who would normally
help with this will not able to attend this year.

All meat, condiments and soft drinks will be provided, but please
let us know by Friday, 28 November if you intend to come along so we
can get an idea of numbers. This will help immensely in estimating
quantities. Entry is free to all WAMUG members, but a gold-coin
donation by non-members would be welcome.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

External screen on MBP wont wake from sleep

2008-11-24 Thread David Paul

Hi

My new MBP (late 2008) MacOS 10.5.5 and my Apple 20in cinema display
do not like each other at times - the display will not wake up from
sleep frequently or will only give brief flashes of a disjointed
screen. This is fixed by disconnecting then reconnecting the display.

It would seem that this is a common issue for many using the new MBPs
and external displays (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1774560&tstart=0
) and does seem to be independent of the screen being used and the
minidvi to dvi adaptor.

One suggestion to resolve this when the screen has failed to wake is
to set up in expose an active display corner so this can be an easier
way to awaken the screen from sleep which did not work for me
unfortunately.

Does any one have any suggestions to fix this temporarily until Apple
releases a patch, apart from the obvious one of resetting the sleep
preferences in energy preferences so that the screen never sleeps?

Thanks
Dave

 Hi Walter,

A search on Google brings up a few options for you to check out.

Overflow 2.5.5 looks neat & tidy. Have a look at the short demo here:
