Re: Microsoft Office 2004
Hi Tony, You may still get a new edition of Office 2004 by looking around. But first I suggest you try Daniel of MacWizzardry, he often can find hard to get items. I guess he has either a good source or may have some stock in hand. If not I'd suggest you go to places like Myers and other Mac selling shops and rummage through their 'disposal' shelves. I did write to MSoft only 5 or 6 weeks ago complaining bitterly about the lack of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel. I am in the same situation as you having designed quite a lot of s/sheets with Macros and VBA, and simply refuse to buy a Windows PC just to run them. So am using Office 2004. The news that they will reinstate VBA support in Office for Mac is very, very good news to me and I guess to many others in your and my situation. Kind regards, Philippe Chaperon 2009/9/4 Evers ev...@bbnet.com.au: Hi Neil, Thanks for that - good know, so if I don't find a 2004 right now at least there is future promise :-) Cheers, Tony On 04/09/2009, at 1:23 PM, Neil Houghton wrote: Hi Tony, I can't help you with Office 2004 - I still use mine on a daily basis ;o) However, if you can hang on for a while MS say they will be re-introducing VBA in the next major release of Office for Mac: http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2008/05/mac-bu-talks-office-2008-sp1-vbas -triumphant-comeback.ars Cheers Neil -- Neil R. Hi John, I guess you have tried deleting the Bluetooth Preference file?~/ Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist Once deleted, restart the computer. If you have tried all the usual fixes John, it could be a faulty Bluetooth Module in your MacBook. I would suggest you take it to an Apple Service centre and have them check it. Do you have APP (AppleCare Protection Plan)? If you are proficient enough to disassemble your MacBook you could follow the instructions from the links below. This is not an easy procedure. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/MacBook-Core-Duo-Bluetooth-Board/299/1 Macbook Bluetooth Hardware Not Found Issue -- RESOLVED. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1172382tstart=0 Cheers, Ronni 17 MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz / 4GB / 800MHz / 500GB OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard On 04/09/2009, at 9:20 AM, John Thompson wrote: Thanks again Ronni, Bluetooth and Mighty Mouse worked for about 30 seconds and gone again.
