Re: iTunes mystery

2014-07-12 Thread Ronni Brown
Hi Severin,

"An unknown error occurred (8268).
Use the Check for Available Downloads command in the Store menu to download
again later."

Normally this error would indicate a Network problem, could be on Apple Servers
or your end and connection was disrupted at some stage?

What happens if you do as suggested "Use the Check for Available Downloads
command in the Store menu to download again later"?

What version of iTunes are you running, do you have the latest v11.3? If not I
suggest:
1. Quit iTunes
2. Restart your Mac
3. Go here and download iTunes11.3.dmg (239.6MB)

4. Install iTunes 11.3

If that does not get rid of the message when you open iTunes, post back & I'll
give details how to delete & install a fresh iTunes 11

Cheers,
Ronni

If I scroll to the end of that list there is no further information. If I
click on the ! it comes up with …”Unknown error (8268)”…. and closes the
window so no time for a screen shot.
Enjoy the sunny afternoon and dpi not worry too much about trivial problems!

2014-07-12 Thread Ronni Brown
Hi Severin,

I received your attachment offlist, unfortunately it does not show the whole
error message lines. I guess it is saying "An unknown error has occurred..."
If you click on the (!) error icon beside one of the 'problem' files does it
give more information?

Also have you done as is suggested "Use the check for Available Downloads
command in the Store Menu to"?
It might give you more information that might be of help.

If you click on "Save" at the bottom on the bottom of the 28 total errors
window does it show more information, perhaps an error number?
If it does you can send the file to me offlist if you wish.

I will be out for a couple of hours today, but will check email when I return.

Cheers,
Ronni

Hi allEverytime i connect my iPhone 5c to my iMac I get the following
message:
A new iPhone software version (7.1.2) is available for the iPhone
“Denise Williams’s iPhone”. Would you like to download it and
update your iPhone now? I then press OK There are purchased items on
the iPhone “Denise Williams’s iPhone” that have not been
transferred to your iTunes library. You should transfer these items to
your iTunes library before updating this iPhone. Are you sure you want
to continue? How do I know what these 'Purchased Items' are?   I
would happily transfer these items if I knew what  they are and how
to do it?
Any help much appreciated - clear & simple would be appreciated.

iTunes mystery

When I start iTunes I get a message saying there were errors downloading some

I have consciously been near. They have not downloaded nor have I been billed.

How do I clear this annoyance?
