Thanks for that Martin, that is good news.  The next issue
to consider is public liability insurance if WAMUG is to continue
holding periodic meetings, including the annual BBQ.

WAMUG was incorporated many

The fact that WAMUG became incorporated in 1987 is probably not the
last thing that needs to be noted in this regard.

The protection offered by becoming incorporated is well worthwhile, but
there are some obligations in return.  A good starting point is:

http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/associationsguide/index.htm

This has useful information, for example regarding insurance, and also
points to some requirements, such as always using the full name of a
society, including  "Inc." or "Incorporated".

Also, any changes to the constitution must be submitted, for approval,
on the appropriate form:

http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/ConsumerProtection/PDF/Associations/AssociationsForm5.pdf

and accompanied by an appropriate fee:

Hi WAMUGers
Please can you tell me if it is possible to connect a macbook pro to a 6

If so what cables do you need?

Earlier this year I needed to use InDesign, which is on my 12in iBookG4. I
connected the iBook to the display of my 24in iMac using ScreenRecycler:

http://www.screenrecycler.com/ScreenRecycler.html

This would be worth checking out to see if it is what you need. There is a free
trial version.

There is a handy little application:

Sharpshooter [OS X 10.4–10.6]

http://www.kerlmax.com/products/sharpshooter/

After you have taken your screen shot, using the methods described, it
opens a window which allows you to:

- choose the format that you want the image to be saved in [BMP, GIF,
JPEG, PDF, PICT, PNG, TIFF]

- rename the image file to whatever you choose
- save the file in whatever location you choose

It can be set to start at login.

For a number of years I have been with Jazinet:

http://www.jazi.net/

As their home page says:

- a 100% West Australian owned and operated ISP
- Our Network Operations Center is located in Perth and provides 24 hour
proactive status monitoring and a rapid response to any network issues.
- JaziNET was founded with one goal in mind: personalised service. We
felt there was a distinct lack of this in the industry, with the
tendency for other ISPs to rely on call centres with lengthy call queues
and impersonal service. When you call JaziNET, not only will you speak
to a human, but a human who cares. You can also deal directly with the
management if you need to, as they are readily available to work with
customers. We also provide true 24 hour support, 7 days a week.

Initial setup was easy, and on the few occasions I have needed help it
has been there promptly.

Worth a look, I'm sure.
