Re: PageMaker

2008-06-05 Thread Gavin McGuren
Adrian, Pagemaker has been replaced by Adobe InDesign, which combines the
best of Pagemaker and its long-time rival, Quark Express.

Subject: PageMaker

Hi all,

A friend of mine is writing a technical medical book with lots of
graphics etc. using word on a windows machine, how wrong can you get?
When I last did a project like that I used PageMaker which no longer exists.
Can anyone please advise me of a suitable alternative software and any info
on publishing would be appreciated.

Regards,

Adrian

Email problem

2008-02-13 Thread Gavin McGuren
Hi folks, hoping someone may be able to help with a problem one of the
designers at my work is having. His Mac mail program is not responding when
he opens it and emails are not downloading. This has been the case since he
downloaded a security update today.

He has contacted our server and they say the problem is not at their end and
he also can't get any response by logging into webmail. He has done a search
and read about similar problems in some online forums but hasn't found any
solution.

Thanks
